    Hotel-like facility, warm attentive staff

I moved my dad here and we've had a very positive experience. The facility is beautiful and hotel-like with nice views, spotless common areas, a movie theater and three outdoor spaces, yet it still feels like home. Staff are warm, kind and attentive, leadership and nursing are responsive, dining is restaurant-style, and activities (crafts, fitness, movies, happy hour) are plentiful. I would gladly recommend this lively, family-like community.

    Summary of reviews

Spring Hills Livingston is widely recognized for its new, well-appointed campus and hotel-like atmosphere. Many reviewers highlight the facility’s attractive decor, clean common areas, multiple outdoor spaces with pleasant views, and on-site amenities such as a movie theater and fitness areas. The community culture is frequently described as warm and family-like, with concierge and housekeeping services contributing to a positive move-in experience.

Care and nursing receive mixed but generally positive commentary. Numerous families praised individual nurses, nursing assistants, and therapy staff for attentiveness and compassion; memory-care services in the Spring Cottage neighborhood are specifically noted as family-oriented and safety-focused. However, there are consistent operational concerns related to medication management — including delays, omissions, and tracking gaps — and in some cases shortcomings in incident response. Prospective families should ask about medication-administration protocols, resident-monitoring practices, and incident-reporting processes during a tour.

Staffing and staff consistency are recurring themes. Reviewers commonly describe staff as kind, helpful, and personally engaged, and several named employees were singled out for exemplary service. At the same time, the community appears to experience high turnover and periodic staffing shortages that affect continuity of care and program delivery. These staffing dynamics can influence how reliably routine needs are met and how consistently the same caregivers are available.

Dining experiences vary across reviews. Many residents enjoy the restaurant-style dining, special events, and social meal occasions such as brunches and happy hours. Conversely, several reviews describe inconsistent food quality, limited variety, small portions, and extended wait times for evening meals. This variability suggests mealservice processes and kitchen staffing may be uneven; visitors should sample the food and inquire about meal schedules, portioning, and complaint resolution processes.

Activities are a clear strength when adequately staffed. The community offers a broad calendar — fitness, crafts, baking clubs, movie nights, games, and social events — and reviewers report good opportunities for social interaction and relationship-building. Some comments indicate variability in program staffing and occasional reductions in entertainment spending, so families may wish to review a sample activity calendar and ask about staffing dedicated to programming.

Management and administrative responsiveness elicit mixed feedback. Multiple reviewers commend the executive director and administrative team for professionalism and helpfulness; others raise concerns about slow responses to complaints, front-desk inconsistency, and billing or deposit refund delays. One family described escalating a billing dispute to a consumer-affairs office. Prospective residents should clarify contract terms, deposit/refund policies, and the facility’s internal escalation process for unresolved concerns.

Overall, Spring Hills Livingston presents as a well-equipped, attractive community with many engaged and compassionate staff members and a lively activity program. The principal operational weaknesses identified across reviews are inconsistent meal service, medication-administration and safety follow-up gaps, staffing instability, and uneven administrative responsiveness. Families considering this community should weigh the facility’s strong environment and programming against these operational risks and use a visit to confirm staffing levels, clinical protocols, meal quality, and administrative practices.
