    Exceptional care, therapy, compassionate staff

I'm muy complacida with Castle Hill - admissions (Maribel) made the transition effortless, and social workers (Adamari/Damary) and therapists (Niko) were outstanding. Nurses, aides (Audrey, Sara) and staff were compassionate, patient and encouraging; therapy helped my father regain strength, he made friends, and the facility is clean with lots of activities. I got regular updates and felt truly cared for - a very positive, recomendable experience.

    Summary of reviews

Reviews present a mixed but clear pattern: the facility offers strong, therapy-centered rehabilitation with a number of families describing measurable recovery, active participation in therapy, and successful discharges. Admissions and social-work personnel receive consistent praise for being professional, attentive, and helpful during transitions. Several reviewers highlighted the presence of on-site physicians and imaging, and many commended individual nursing aides and therapists for compassionate, respectful care and encouragement. Activity programming and opportunities for socialization are frequently cited as contributors to residents’ improved quality of life.

At the same time, there is notable variability in day-to-day clinical and operational performance. While some families describe a clean, well-maintained environment and attentive housekeeping, others raised sanitation and pest-control concerns for certain areas. Staffing consistency emerges as a clear operational weakness: reviewers note frequent reliance on agency staff and variability in the competency or bedside manner of some nurses, which appears to correspond with differences in care experience. Several comments describe delays in responsiveness to resident needs and issues with call-answering that may affect timely assistance.

Clinical-process issues appear in multiple domains. Reviewers raised concerns about incontinence-care procedures and timeliness, medication-management practices, and isolated events that families perceived as failures in clinical oversight. There are also repeated notes about missing personal items and weaknesses in protecting residents’ belongings, which has undermined some families’ trust. Communication and transparency from administration are inconsistent: some families received clear, regular updates and supportive discharge planning, while others experienced miscommunication, denial of concerns, or unsatisfactory escalation responses. A few reviews referenced regulatory complaints or serious allegations; these items suggest families escalated through external channels in response to unresolved issues.

For prospective residents and families the salient pattern is one of contrast: the facility demonstrates genuine strengths in rehabilitation, dedicated social work, and activity programming that produce positive outcomes for many patients, but it also exhibits operational and management gaps that can negatively affect the resident experience. When evaluating this provider, families should observe staffing ratios and turnover, ask about agency-nurse usage, review protocols for incontinence care and medication administration, clarify procedures for safeguarding personal belongings, and confirm how the facility reports and communicates about incidents. A personal tour and conversations with admissions, nursing leadership, and the social-work team are advisable to assess whether the facility’s strengths align with a prospective resident’s needs and to determine how the facility addresses the operational concerns noted by other families.
