    Caring staff, clean facility, recommended

I placed my mom here and overall I'm very pleased - the staff are genuinely kind, caring and attentive, and they made the transition smooth. The building is clean and well kept, with good food, a large dining/activity area, on-site salon and plenty of daily activities (bingo, movies, outings), and the grounds are attractive. Staff routinely go beyond expectations, helping with personal requests, finances and bedside emotional support so my mom feels loved and at home. Drawbacks: it can be expensive, the layout is a bit confusing, room sizes vary (some small), and I've seen occasional staff turnover and a few medication/privacy hiccups. Overall I'm satisfied and would recommend it for compassionate, organized care.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive, with frequent praise for the facility’s cleanliness, accessibility, staff demeanor, food, activities, and value. Many reviewers emphasize that Clemmons Village II is very well kept—spotlessly clean with no odors, regular housekeeping and daily vacuuming, and ongoing upgrades to public areas. The building and grounds receive consistent compliments: spacious common areas, high ceilings, sunlit open layouts, large dining room, patio and attractive landscaping with large lawns and mature trees. Accessibility is frequently noted (wheelchair-friendly layouts, accessible showers, single-floor/open layout in some areas), and rooms are commonly described as private, nicely sized or large with ensuite baths and opportunities for personalizing doors and spaces.

Staff and caregiving are the most consistently lauded aspects. Reviews repeatedly use words like caring, genuine, kind, compassionate, and helpful. Several accounts describe staff going beyond expectations—helping with personal requests (TV, clothing, food), providing bedside emotional support, assisting with financial questions, and making transitions from home smoother. Management and long-time staff receive specific praise for their responsiveness and organization. That said, there are some mixed reports: a minority of reviewers mention staff turnover, occasional inexperienced staff members, brief or negative interactions, and a few isolated medication-related issues. Overall, however, the dominant impression is that residents feel loved, well cared for, and at home.

Dining and activities are another strong theme. Meals are repeatedly described as delicious, wonderful, and among the best reviewers have experienced in senior living. The activity program is described as busy and well-planned, with frequent group events such as bingo, worship, movie nights, arts and crafts, and planned outings (lunches and shopping trips). On-site services like a beautician/hairdresser and podiatry are appreciated, as are included services such as laundry and cable in some cases. Reviewers note that social opportunities and entertainment bring residents together and sustain a lively community, though outings and participation can be limited for residents with dementia.

Care options and logistics: reviewers note that the community offers multiple levels of care (reports mention up to six levels), which can accommodate changing needs. Several reviews specifically state that the facility supported transitions and stepped up care when required. Pricing receives mixed commentary: many reviewers call the facility very affordable or good value with all-inclusive pricing; a few describe it as expensive or note a price increase. Space and layout feedback is mostly positive (large rooms, spacious bathrooms), but some visitors found certain rooms small and one review mentioned a confusing building layout. Minor facility maintenance needs were mentioned (carpet replacement in some hallways).

Notable concerns and patterns: a small number of reviews raise privacy issues (for example, names not being kept private), medication management concerns, and occasional reports of residents being left in hallways or other lapses in attention. These items appear infrequent compared with the volume of positive feedback but are meaningful for prospective residents and families to probe further. Additionally, staff turnover and inexperienced hires were mentioned a few times—an operational factor to monitor, as it can affect continuity of care.

In summary, Clemmons Village II is portrayed as a clean, accessible, and welcoming assisted living community with a warm, caring staff, strong dining and activities programs, and attractive grounds and common spaces. Most reviewers express high satisfaction with care, food, social life, and value, often recommending the community. Prospective residents should be aware of occasional staffing consistency issues, rare medication or privacy concerns, potential price changes, and minor maintenance needs; these are worth discussing during tours and reference checks. Overall, the dominant impression is a positive, homelike environment where many residents and families feel well supported and satisfied.

About Clemmons Village II- Assisted Living

Clemmons Village II- Assisted Living sits in a one-level brick building on Holder Road in Clemmons, NC, with easy access to highways and nearby places for shopping, dining, and medical care, and you'll notice a big front porch with rocking chairs out front and a courtyard for getting some fresh air, plus the place lets you bring your own pet or enjoy visits from the in-house dog and church groups that stop by, which a lot of folks seem to appreciate. The facility serves nutritious meals three times a day in a dining room or in a bistro, and there's always hot coffee available, so no one has to worry about preparing their own food all the time, which takes some of the stress out of the day. Residents can choose from several room types, including private and companion suites, couples suites, studios, one-bedrooms, and two-bedrooms, some with their own kitchenettes and private bathrooms, and you can even share a room with someone if you like, though there's an extra charge for a second person there. The building has a secure memory care unit for seniors who tend to wander, and every room, including those set up for memory care, gets checked by staff who've got awake shifts 24 hours a day, so help is always close if someone gets confused or needs to get up in the night.

Daily activities give residents a chance to do group fitness classes, games, cards, or music in rooms set up for those kinds of things, and people have mentioned how there's a nice library and even a chapel for devotional services, so there's a little something for folks with different interests, whether you want to read, walk the courtyard paths, or sit by one of the aquariums. There's a swimming pool and a hot tub, and sometimes trips out to the mountains or a boat ride at Lake Norman, and if you have appointments to get to or need a ride to the store, transportation is set up and scheduled by staff. For healthcare, registered nurses and certified medication technicians are on the clock, handling medicine, emergencies, help with things like bathing or getting dressed, and in-house therapies-physical, occupational, and speech-get offered to residents right there, with additional help for insulin checks and transferring from bed to wheelchair if it's needed. The facility is pet friendly, and there's pet therapy, so folks who miss having animals around get a little comfort. There's a beauty salon, maintenance and housekeeping services, laundry options, and Wi-Fi throughout, so most daily chores and some of the small details are taken care of. Smoking's allowed in certain indoor and outdoor areas, but always in spots meant for that.

Clemmons Village II has a state license (HAL-034-062), holds a 4-star rating from North Carolina, and goes through regular reviews to keep that up, and there are 66 beds in the assisted living part, serving people aged 55 or older, which means there's a good mix of active seniors and those who want or need a little more help each day. Staff tailor individual service plans to each resident based on care levels, with extra charges for higher care needs or second residents, and overall, the community aims to keep people comfortable without going overboard with fancy claims-just steady, thoughtful care in a home-like setting for folks needing assisted living, memory care, or independent living.
