    Beautiful facility, caring staff, inconsistent

I like the place - beautiful, spotless, hotel-like with great activities, dining, salon and many genuinely caring staff who helped my mom settle and thrive. Liz was outstanding - bring her back; unfortunately I was disappointed with Heather, Carley and Whitney. My biggest concerns are inconsistent staffing, poor phone responsiveness/communication, slow medical responses and billing/management issues. It's expensive and sometimes oversold medically, but if you want a warm, well-kept community with compassionate caregivers it's worth considering with those caveats.

    About Brookdale Peachtree

Brookdale Peachtree sits as a one-story community on Peachtree Road in Statesville, North Carolina, where folks can pick between private or semi-private rooms for daily living, with each space coming with kitchenettes, individually controlled thermostats, wall-to-wall carpeting, cable or satellite TV, and an emergency response system, all in a setting where staff stay around day and night in case anything happens and families can feel some peace knowing their loved ones aren't alone. They've got a way of meeting with each new resident to learn what's important to them, then they shape a personalized care plan to help with whatever daily living needs might be-things like bathing, dressing, or remembering medicine, which can get harder over time, and the care team adjusts help as residents' abilities change so people can stay in the community even if care needs go up.

The community has options for seniors who need help with memory care, with tailored plans for folks living with Alzheimer's or dementia, and these programs focus on safety, structure, and supporting individual dignity just as anyone would want for their own mother or father, and they also offer hospice help if someone needs end-of-life care, so families aren't left searching if things change quickly. Meals get prepared by professionals, coming together in a dining room where friendly wait staff serve well-balanced choices, and those who eat kosher or vegetarian aren't left out, plus guests can dine alongside residents and there's parking available when they visit. Residents can spend time in the library if they like to read or keep their spirits up with music and entertainment events; fitness and wellness programs fill the week, and there are gardening areas for folks who want to keep their hands in the soil, walking paths for easy strolls, and both indoor and outdoor common spaces for sitting around or chatting with neighbors, with the whole place feeling friendly to pets, so furry friends don't have to stay behind.

If someone likes to stay busy, they'll find activities onsite and offsite, including live music, fitness classes, structured events, and even Brookdale Blogs, and there's transportation provided-some rides are included, others come at cost-so errands or doctor visits don't have to be a worry, and staff will help arrange these as needed. The buildings come with plenty of parking, and safety features throughout include wheelchair-accessible showers, full tubs, and an environment where residents with different mobility needs can get around comfortably. There's free Wi-Fi across the property, plus entertainment venues, a well-stocked library, and for those wanting a bit of pampering, the salon's on-site with beautician services.

Specialized memory care teams, skilled nursing support (part-time), and at-home care services are all part of what's available, with daily check-ins ensuring that help matches what each resident needs, and the goal is to help folks live as independently as they comfortably can, while someone's always nearby who can lend a hand. For those wanting spiritual comfort, devotional services are held both onsite and off, and if families need a break, respite care gives short-term stays when needed. Brookdale, with decades of experience since 1978, keeps things organized with structured programs covering social, educational, and entertainment needs, and staff do their best to stay helpful, joyful, and kind-whether training a new resident, handling meals and housekeeping, or helping a neighbor down the hall. The whole aim is to create a comfortable environment for aging well, where people can settle into a relaxed retirement that feels respectful and supportive, and anyone who wants more details can look for Brookdale Peachtree's website.

    About Brookdale

Brookdale Peachtree is managed by Brookdale.

Brookdale Senior Living Inc. (NYSE: BKD) is the largest senior living operator in the United States, managing over 640 communities with capacity for approximately 59,000 residents across 41 states and employing around 36,000 associates. Founded in 1978 and publicly traded since 2005, Brookdale solidified its market leadership through major acquisitions including American Retirement Corporation (2006) and Emeritus Senior Living (2014), making it the only national full-spectrum senior living company. Headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, Brookdale has topped the American Seniors Housing Association's ASHA 50 list and Argentum's largest providers list for multiple consecutive years.

The company's comprehensive care continuum includes independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs). Brookdale's signature Clare Bridge program, developed over 30 years ago by dementia-care experts, provides specialized Alzheimer's and dementia care through two distinct levels: Clare Bridge communities for comprehensive memory support and the Clare Bridge Solace program for advanced-stage dementia residents. The program is recognized by the Alzheimer's Association® for incorporating evidence-based Dementia Care Practice Recommendations and features secure environments, enclosed courtyards, Daily Path programming with six structured activities daily, and the InTouch technology platform offering personalized brain-stimulating games and therapeutic content.

Brookdale's holistic Optimum Life® wellness approach balances six dimensions—Purposeful, Physical, Emotional, Social, Spiritual, and Intellectual—implemented through signature programs including B-Fit (eight exercise class options), Brain Fit (mental fitness workouts), My Life Story (resident storytelling), EngagementPlus (interest-based connections), Growing Together (collaborative learning), and The Ageless Spirit (kindness and gratitude practices). The Embrace Family Partnership provides caregiver education and support for families of memory care residents.

The company's Brookdale HealthPlus® care coordination model, winner of the 2024 Argentum Best of the Best Award placing it among the top 1% of operators, is a technology-enabled healthcare service featuring dedicated RN Care Managers who proactively manage residents' health, coordinate care transitions, and help prevent avoidable hospitalizations. Communities using HealthPlus report 78% fewer urgent care visits, 36% fewer hospitalizations, and 63% more completed annual wellness visits. The Personal Solutions program delivers hygiene products, medications, and daily necessities directly to residents' doors with discreet packaging and monthly billing convenience.

Following a strategic divestiture of its home health and hospice operations to HCA Healthcare (completed December 2023), Brookdale now focuses exclusively on senior living operations while maintaining its position as the industry's largest operator, committed to its mission of enriching lives with compassion, respect, excellence, and integrity.
