    Unclean, neglectful care not recommended

I placed my dad here and I'm very disappointed. There are few showers or baths and residents often aren't bathed - clothes on the floor, dusty, dirty, overcrowded and outdated, creating fall risks. Communication was awful (I couldn't reach my dad) and staff were often neglectful, though a few were friendly and interested in our family history; location is quiet. Overall it's not a safe or clean place and I do not recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in these reviews is predominantly negative, with a small set of positive comments focused primarily on interpersonal aspects of staff and the facility location. Multiple reviewers note that some staff members are friendly, helpful, and show genuine interest in residents' backgrounds and family history. The location itself is repeatedly described as safe and quiet. However, these positives are outweighed by recurring and serious concerns about cleanliness, basic care, safety, and communication.

Care quality emerges as a central concern. Several reviewers report inadequate personal care for residents, highlighting that there are "few showers," "limited baths," and that many residents are not bathed. Comments explicitly describe lack of shower assistance and staff neglect, which reviewers characterize as leading to residents being unclean or wearing soiled clothing. These accounts indicate inconsistent or insufficient hands-on care for activities of daily living (bathing, hygiene), which is a core expectation in assisted living settings.

Staff-related feedback is mixed. On the positive side, some staff are described as friendly and willing to engage with residents about their history, and some are called "helpful." On the negative side, reviewers describe instances of neglect, poor follow-through on care needs, and an apparent mismatch between friendly interaction and actual caregiving. This suggests variability in staff performance or possibly staffing shortages or training issues that result in inconsistent delivery of care.

Facility condition, cleanliness, and safety are repeatedly called out. Reviewers used words such as "dirty," "unclean," "dust noted," and "nastiest place," indicating pervasive concerns about housekeeping and sanitation. Specific problems include clothes on the floor, general untidiness, and observable dust — all of which contribute to an impression of neglect. Several reviewers also pointed to overcrowding and an outdated appearance, which can exacerbate cleanliness and safety problems. Importantly, reviewers raised safety concerns, noting a "risk of falls" tied to clutter and poor maintenance. These observations suggest both environmental hazards and an overall facility maintenance problem.

Communication and management issues are another notable pattern. At least one reviewer expressed distress about being unable to contact their father, describing difficulty reaching the resident and a lack of reliable communication from staff. This kind of communication breakdown can heighten family anxiety and undermines trust in facility oversight. Coupled with the reports of inconsistent care and sanitation problems, these communication failures point toward potential managerial or operational shortcomings in oversight, staffing levels, or protocols.

Information about dining, activities, medical care coordination, or other programming is absent from the provided reviews, so no conclusions can be drawn about those areas. What is clear, however, is that multiple reviewers explicitly stated they would not recommend the facility, and several used strong language (e.g., "awful," "nastiest place") to describe their experience. The most consistent and serious themes are: insufficient assistance with bathing and hygiene, pervasive cleanliness and maintenance issues, safety hazards related to clutter and outdated conditions, and communication lapses with families.

For prospective families, these reviews suggest careful inquiry is needed before choosing this facility. Key follow-up questions would include recent changes to housekeeping and maintenance protocols, staffing levels and training for personal care tasks (especially bathing), fall-prevention measures, and how the facility ensures reliable family communication. While some staff members may be warm and personable and the location is described as quiet and safe, the recurring reports of hygiene neglect, unsanitary conditions, and communication failures are significant concerns that should be addressed directly with management and observed in person during a visit.
