Mallard Meadows Resdntl Center is planned for the site where Ages & Stages day care now sits, in Waymart, PA, and it'll be part of the ARH Medical Group, which also runs facilities in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Florida. This place is aiming to serve about 70 to 80 people who need inpatient drug or alcohol treatment, and it's run by doctors, with registered and practical nurses on staff. They'll give folks from Wayne County a first shot at getting treatment, and they're working on updating the inside of the 31,000-square-foot building. Medicaid, cash, or typical insurance can help pay for care, though exact prices aren't listed yet.
Mallard Meadows Resdntl Center includes security features like door cameras and alarms that'll go off if someone leaves without permission, and staff will keep an eye on residents as a routine. The facility is set up to take men and women, and around 50 to 60 people will work there. Besides care for substance issues, Mallard Meadows helps seniors with all kinds of needs, from long-term living to hospice, home health, skilled nursing, memory care, and rehab services. As a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), they'll have independent and assisted living options for older adults, as well as nursing home care for those who need more help. The building's designed for comfort and has features like indoor common spaces, a hair salon, book room, hot tub, sauna, and gardens. There's a dining service with healthy meals, devotional hours, and on-site activities like movies, art, music, fitness, group events, and outdoor trips.
Staff members help with things like bathing, dressing, hygiene, and taking medicine, as well as two-person transfers for those who have trouble moving on their own, and they offer respite care when families need a break. Memory care's in place for those who are forgetful, and the center also supports hospice and companion care. Transportation can be arranged for things like doctor visits, grocery runs, or church. Mallard Meadows tries to make the place feel like home, encouraging independence and social time, with a clear aim to create a safe, peaceful, and friendly place for residents and their families as they age. The center stays focused on supporting health, comfort, and happiness for the people living there, working each day to keep up a good quality of life, whether someone's staying for a short bit or making it their new home.
