    Clean compassionate care, engaging activities

I placed my mom here after touring a dozen facilities and it was the right fit. The place is clean, organized and welcoming, with compassionate, professional nurses and aides, strong PT/OT/rehab, and a creative activities director who keeps residents engaged. Admissions and management were responsive and kept our family informed; transportation, outings and a dog-friendly atmosphere were nice extras. I feel my loved one is well cared for and would recommend this facility.

    Summary of reviews

Reviews indicate a facility with clear strengths in hands-on caregiving and rehabilitation alongside ongoing operational challenges. Families and clinicians frequently praised the nursing staff, certified nursing assistants, and therapy teams for compassionate care and an effective rehab program that helped residents return home. The admissions staff and activities director received repeated positive mentions for being helpful, organized, and creative; transportation, outings, and family-friendly events are also noted as reliable offerings that support resident quality of life.

At the same time, there are recurring concerns about staffing and clinical consistency. Several accounts describe caregivers who are stretched thin, high turnover among CNAs and nurses, and language barriers that complicate communication. Reviewers raised operational issues around medication management, responsiveness to acute clinical events, and wound- and device-related infection risks; these concerns coalesce into a pattern of uneven clinical-incident response and family communication that prospective families should query directly.

Dining and activities present a mixed picture. The activities program is consistently described as a strong point — varied, engaging, and often providing one-on-one attention — but meal quality was singled out as inconsistent and constrained by a limited kitchen budget. The dining room environment can be noisy, which may affect residents who need quieter mealtimes or individualized assistance.

Facility condition and management emerged as another area of contrast. The building shows some recent upgrades and clean, orderly rooms in many cases, yet the facility is older overall with dated furniture and maintenance issues (including equipment and safety concerns). Landscaping and exterior upkeep were described as neglected in places. Management and ownership changes were associated with a perceived shift toward cost containment, declines in supply quality, and lowered staff morale in some reports; however, other reviewers praised responsive administration and good communication. There are also reported weaknesses in laundry/personal-item handling and property security that families should confirm during a visit.

Overall, the facility appears to offer strong personal care, a successful therapy program, and an active activities calendar, making it a good fit for many residents — particularly those who value rehabilitation and a family-like atmosphere. At the same time, prospective residents and families should assess current staffing levels, clinical-incident protocols, maintenance and safety practices, meal programs, and how recent ownership or management changes have affected operations. A directed tour, conversations with clinical leadership, and specific questions about staffing ratios, incident response, wound/device-care practices, and personal-item procedures will help clarify whether the facility matches an individual resident's needs.
