    Kind professional staff and facility

I'm very pleased with the care my mom receives - staff are consistently kind, professional and attentive, the facility is clean, remodeled and smells fresh, and residents seem happy and engaged. Admissions and front-desk staff were welcoming and helpful, safety measures gave me peace of mind, and the family-like atmosphere makes visits pleasant.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: The reviews present a facility with substantive strengths in staffing culture, recent physical upgrades, and social programming, alongside a smaller but consequential set of operational issues. Many families and visitors praise the caregiving teams, frequent communication from admissions and case management, and visible efforts to make the environment feel home-like after renovations. At the same time, a subset of reviewers described clinical and administrative concerns that merit direct questions during a tour.

Care quality and staff: The most consistent positive theme is staff behavior and culture. Reviewers describe CNAs, nurses, department heads and administrators as compassionate, patient, and proactive; several named individuals received specific praise for advocacy and family communication. Memory-care and skilled-nursing coverage, including reports of around-the-clock nursing presence, is frequently referenced as a confidence-building element. That said, reviews also document variability in day-to-day clinical performanceโ€”examples point to missed medication transfers, care-coordination breakdowns, and episodic delays in response to call lightsโ€”indicating inconsistent staffing consistency and operational reliability in some shifts.

Dining and activities: Dining is generally characterized as satisfactory, with a number of commenters noting tasty meals. Activity programming appears active and resident-focused: birthday celebrations, outdoor picnics, music and dancing, spiritual programming and volunteer-created content were all described. The facility also supports on-site PRN therapy, salon services, and social events that contribute to a lively, social atmosphere for many residents.

Facilities and safety measures: The property has undergone renovations that reviewers say improved appearance and resident morale; interior and exterior areas are often described as clean and well-kept. Safety practices such as coded-entry doors and an organized check-in process were noted, along with infection-control measures during public-health events. Conversely, some reviewers raised sanitation and odor-control issues in particular units or rooms and questioned neighborhood safety. These spatial and environmental concerns appear uneven rather than systemic across the entire campus.

Management and administration: Admissions and front-line management receive repeated positive mention for helpfulness and responsiveness, with families citing clear points of contact and timely updates. However, several reviews raise operational concerns at the administrative level: billing transparency, volunteer-program oversight, and privacy safeguards. A portion of reviewers described alleged lapses in privacy processes and problems with management responding to volunteer outreach or billing disputes. Additionally, a few accounts reference delays in transferring residents to higher-acuity care when needed, which suggests a need to clarify transfer protocols.

Notable patterns and guidance for prospective families: The dominant pattern is a strong caregiving staff and improved physical environment that many families find reassuring. Offsetting that are intermittent but sometimes serious operational weaknessesโ€”medication and care coordination, personal-belongings management, responsiveness during certain shifts, administrative clarity, and privacy safeguards. Prospective families should observe staffing levels, ask for details on medication-administration and transfer protocols, review contract and billing policies, inquire about privacy protections and volunteer oversight, and tour during mealtimes and activities to see day-to-day operations. Doing so will help determine whether the facilityโ€™s prevailing strengths align with a prospective residentโ€™s needs and which operational risks are being actively managed.

About Village Creek Wellness and Rehabilitation

Village Creek Wellness and Rehabilitation sits on a single-story, beautifully landscaped, and gated campus at 3825 Village Creek Rd in Fort Worth, Texas, where you'll see a 24-hour courtesy patrol keeping an eye on things, and people coming and going, whether they're there for long-term care, short-term rehab, or just a little bit of extra help. They've got 24-hour skilled nursing services from Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants who know about things like IV therapy, tracheostomy care, and dialysis, so residents who need care for serious medical issues can get it, and there's always general healthcare support close by if a health problem comes up, including pharmacy, laboratory, and psychological services, along with nutritional services guided by a registered dietitian, and discharge planning, so things don't get confusing when someone's going back home. You might see people working through their therapy at the rehabilitation gym or getting specialty rehab like Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy from TCU, and they also offer help with recovery after surgery, illness, or injury, with tailored care plans based on each person's needs-so everything from walking or wheelchair assistance to help with dressing, bathing, or managing personal care is part of the daily routine.

Rooms at Village Creek Wellness and Rehabilitation come in private and semi-private options, and some have kitchens or kitchenettes with washers and dryers, so folks can do a little of their own laundry if they want, even though laundry and housekeeping services are always available, and most rooms have cable TV and access to wifi. You'll find activities and amenities meant to keep life more interesting-games, arts and crafts, education programs, a fitness center, salon and barbershop, guest parking, dining room meals tailored to personal tastes or special diets, and they're pretty careful with safety with sprinklers and handicap features around the property. There's organized social activities and health and wellness programs for folks who want to stay involved, and they'll provide medical transportation for follow-up appointments, so traveling to a doctor or to town gets easier, plus recreation and scheduled group trips for residents who want to get out. The community has age restrictions for residents-usually people 55 or 62 and above-so it's mostly seniors living together, including some who want independent living with a more apartment or condominium-like setting, and for those with Alzheimer's or dementia, memory care services are available for a fee.

Village Creek Wellness and Rehabilitation has a big team-somewhere between 51 and 200 employees-and they're led by licensed nursing home administrators who want to create an environment where everyone feels respected, so staff take time with each person, listen to what they need, and try to help them reach personal recovery or wellness goals, whether they're staying for just a few weeks or making it their new home for years. The team focuses on building relationships with residents and families, treats everyone with compassion, and tries to keep things warm and welcoming, all while aiming to keep improving the quality and range of services-so folks can expect a mix of care, safety, and activities that fit different needs in one place, with support for both body and mind. Founded in 2018 and privately held, Village Creek Wellness and Rehabilitation provides different levels of care, including independent living for active seniors, assisted living with personal help, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and specialized memory care, so there's a wide range of options under one roof.
