    Small family-like home with care

I toured and placed my mom here and am very pleased. The small, house-like community with a wrap-around porch, lovely courtyard and well-kept grounds feels homey. Staff - from the head nurse to the manager and owner - are knowledgeable, friendly and go above and beyond; rooms are clean and meals are timely and often tailored. I would definitely recommend this sweet, family-like place.

    Summary of reviews

This facility is characterized by a small, house-like setting with well-kept grounds and homelike common areas. Families commonly describe a clean environment, comfortable one-bedroom apartments or rooms, and pleasant outdoor features such as a wrap-around porch and courtyard. The overall physical environment and housekeeping appear to be consistent strengths, supporting a family-like atmosphere and a sense of residential comfort rather than an institutional feel.

Care quality and staff interactions are generally described positively. Reviewers highlight caring, courteous staff members and capable nursing support, including help with medications and attentive one-on-one care. Several comments note that staff can be proactive and accommodating, and that managers or owners are approachable and helpful in many instances. These attributes contribute to a perception of individualized attention and a supportive daily routine for residents.

At the same time, there are operational concerns that prospective families should evaluate. Multiple comments point to weaknesses in the facility's handling of residents' personal items and shared-supply practices; these accounts suggest gaps in accountability and unclear policies about communal supplies and billing. There are also isolated but serious allegations of staff mishandling of personal belongings, which have prompted privacy and financial concerns for families. In addition, reviewer feedback indicates variability in staff engagement by shift (for example, differences between weekend and weekday staffing) and uneven responsiveness from management when issues arise.

Dining and activity offerings present a mixed picture. Meals are frequently described as home-cooked, timely, and sometimes tailored to resident preferences, which is a strength for families seeking personalized dining. However, the facility's menu variety is described as limited in some comments, and organized activities or entertainment options appear sparse; requests for arts-and-crafts and more programming are noted. For residents needing structured cognitive or memory care, the facility does not advertise specialized Alzheimer's/dementia programming, which may limit suitability for that population.

In summary, this community may be a good fit for families looking for a smaller, personable environment with attentive daily care, a clean facility, and homelike amenities. Important considerations before choosing this provider are confirming policies and safeguards for residents' personal property, clarifying shared-supply and billing procedures, asking about staffing patterns across shifts, and reviewing the activity schedule and memory-care capabilities. Prospective residents and families should also verify current pricing and any additional fees to ensure alignment with household budgets.

    About BeeHive Homes

BeeHive Homes sits in quiet neighborhoods and offers a small, home-like setting where seniors can keep their independence while having support close by, and the community runs under a faith-based, nonprofit model with local ownership by two Registered Nurses who look after residents with no extra fees for services in the care package, which takes away worries about surprise costs; the homes come as single-story buildings with private or semi-private studio apartments, each set up with its own bathroom with an ADA shower, and safety's a big focus, as there are sprinkler systems, handicap-accessible features, and rapid response call systems in every room. The team here, made up of senior care experts, offers care twenty-four hours a day with nurses always on staff for medication help, daily tasks like dressing or bathing, as well as laundry and housekeeping, and they help with everything else from meal services and snacks-planned by dieticians-to transportation around town for appointments, all within a secure place that includes an enclosed outdoor courtyard that's peaceful and safe for walks, gardening, and getting some air. BeeHive Homes lists assisted living, independent living, memory care for Alzheimer's and dementia, nursing home, and respite care as main service types, and each resident gets a care plan and the chance to take part in life-enriching activities such as fitness classes, art workshops, music programs, trivia games, devotional services, gardening, or nature walks, with small dining rooms keeping things familiar and easy for memory care residents, serving up dementia-friendly menus. People here also can join therapy like physical, behavioral, or cognitive therapy, with specialty programs named Silver Lace and Clare Bridge for folks with memory challenges, and there are pet-friendly options, with pet-assisted therapy, and spaces for visiting with friends or family, game rooms, salons, fitness centers, fast internet, and cable TV. The staff helps with long-term care insurance, wound care, medication management, occupational therapy, and podiatry, and they're careful to match care to what each person really needs, whether help's needed for sober living, dual diagnosis, addiction support, or something else that's more tailored, since they have experience with all kinds of rehab-drug and alcohol, holistic, luxury, wilderness, and adventure therapies, including specific care for pregnant or postpartum women, LGBTQ+ adults, veterans, professionals, seniors, and people of faith. The whole place is run to build trust and relationships, keep folks comfortable, and make sure privacy and dignity stay front and center, and when someone's ready to move in, families can have a look at different layouts-studios, single rooms, or two-bedrooms-with clear rates and a process that covers everything from assessment to move-in, with the team laying out all the services, payment options, and what to expect, so nobody feels left in the dark.
