    Friendly professional staff excellent rehab

I was impressed by the friendly, professional, family-owned staff - nurses Jenny, Destiny and Brittany were especially caring - who treated residents like family in a beautiful, clean, welcoming facility. The cottages and excellent therapy made rehab successful and helped a timely return home; residents enjoy private Bible study, small family gatherings and thoughtful touches like Christmas gifts. Food is nourishing, administrators are down-to-earth, and teamwork is obvious; I'd happily recommend this place and would return myself, with only minor room for improvement.

    Summary of reviews

Reviewer feedback for this facility is notably mixed, with distinct clusters of strong positive experiences alongside a set of operational concerns. Positive comments emphasize a family-owned, locally run environment that presents as classically styled yet homelike. Several families praised the courteous and caring demeanor of many aides and nurses, the effectiveness of the short-term rehabilitation program (often delivered in separate cottages), and successful therapy outcomes that enabled residents to return to prior living arrangements. The community offers social and spiritual activities, small family gatherings, and seasonal events that many residents and families described as meaningful.

Care quality descriptions vary. Multiple accounts describe attentive, compassionate caregiving and timely therapy services; these are contrasted by reports indicating inconsistent clinical practices, such as delays in responding to call requests, pressure-area prevention concerns, and notable weight loss in some residents. There are also statements raising concerns about medication and feeding management and about the timeliness of clinical follow-up after incidents. A small number of families expressed serious concerns following a resident's death and questioned aspects of end-of-life coordination and communication.

Staff and management impressions are polarized. Some reviewers highlight strong teamwork, a down-to-earth administrator, and individual staff who go above and beyond. Other accounts point to inconsistent professionalismโ€”examples include inattentive behavior during work, perceived gossiping or unprofessional communication, and an admissions/coordination function that some families found difficult to access. Several comments suggest limited visible supervisory presence at times and uneven follow-through on family requests.

Dining and activities receive mixed assessments. Many families described nourishing, country-style meals and appreciated community events and spiritual opportunities (private Bible studies and holiday gifts were specifically noted). At the same time, other reviewers reported inconsistent food quality and concerns about dining management and ticketing/transaction practices.

Facility and safety points are also mixed: the physical environment is frequently described as attractive and homelike, with successful rehab cottages, but there are recurring notes about small resident rooms and roommate-space limitations. Cleanliness and sanitation were praised by some visitors but flagged as an operational concern by others, including issues related to clothing care and common-area maintenance. Safety practices such as room assignments, transfer/assistance protocols, and monitoring of residents at risk of falls were areas families urged prospective residents to question.

Overall pattern: the facility appears to offer strong rehabilitation services and a family-oriented culture that many residents and families find supportive. However, the variability in operational consistencyโ€”particularly around staff responsiveness, sanitation protocols, medication/feeding oversight, communication, and administrative accessibilityโ€”warrants careful due diligence. Prospective residents and families should conduct an in-person tour at different times of day, ask for recent inspection reports, inquire about staffing levels and supervision, review sanitation and incontinence-care protocols, clarify medication and feeding safeguards, and confirm visitation and valuables-handling policies before making a placement decision.
