    Resident praises loving attentive staff

I've lived here five years and am very happy with the care. The staff are loving, professional, and attentive-leadership and the owner are personally involved and often go above and beyond. The facility is extremely clean and pleasant, with private rooms/bathrooms, a large common living room, daily cleaning, meals and laundry provided, and a warm, home-like atmosphere in a small community. Move-in was seamless; I feel included, well cared for, and would recommend this place.

    Summary of reviews

Beehive Homes of Hurricane is described primarily as a small, recently opened residential facility with a strong emphasis on personalized caregiving. Reviewers emphasize a consistent theme of compassionate, patient staff who provide hands-on assistance; many accounts highlight owner and management involvement in day-to-day operations. The facility appears to prioritize a home-like environment, with private rooms and bathrooms, a sizable living area with reclining chairs, and routine cleaning and sanitation practices.

Care and staffing are consistently framed as strengths. Multiple comments reference staff patience, professionalism, smiling and respectful interactions, and willingness to go above and beyond. Several accounts describe positive transitions into the home, including timely move-in assistance and seamless handoffs, and some specifically note supportive end-of-life care and leadership that communicates empathy and engagement with families.

Dining and ancillary services are viewed positively. The facility provides on-site meals and laundry service; food quality is described favorably in several accounts. Activity programming shows more variability: while some reviewers report numerous activities, at least one comment describes the environment as "not very active," indicating that the level and variety of programming may depend on resident mix or scheduling. Prospective residents should clarify current activity calendars during a visit.

Facilities and management impressions are largely favorable. The interior is described as clean and well maintained, and the small scale supports a close-knit, family-like atmosphere. Management involvement and a hands-on ownership style are repeatedly mentioned as contributing to resident comfort and responsiveness. One negative note pertains to the facility's exterior or its effect on the surrounding view; this is an aesthetic concern rather than a care-related one.

Overall, Beehive Homes of Hurricane presents as a small, affordable option with strong interpersonal care, clean accommodations, and basic service offerings (meals, laundry). The most notable operational considerations for families are the limited scaleโ€” which can be both a benefit for individualized attention and a constraint on program varietyโ€”and variability in activity programming. A tour to confirm the current activity schedule, view/exterior expectations, and staffing levels is recommended for those considering placement.

    About Beehive Homes of Hurricane

Beehive Homes of Hurricane sits in a peaceful part of Hurricane, Utah, next to an elementary school, with two separate buildings that offer Level 1 and Level 2 care, and you'll find residents in a smaller, homelike community where private rooms have their own bathrooms with ADA showers and safety features like grab bars and accessible sinks. The home has a cozy feeling, with simple furniture like twin beds, recliners, and dressers, plus windows with blinds for privacy and sunlight, and there's daily housekeeping, laundry services, and cable TV or Wi-Fi included, making daily living comfortable and straightforward. Folks can spend time together in the residents' lounge, do crafts or puzzles in the activity rooms, join group outings with transportation, or just visit on the covered porch out front or the back patio looking out at the desert landscape, and the walking paths in the landscaped courtyard are nice for a stroll. Meals are home-cooked and dietitian-approved, served in a dining room with comfy chairs and cactus artwork, and snacks are offered throughout the day. There's a focus on individual needs, with 24-hour staff, medication assistance, and support for daily living, and the team pays careful attention to those with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia, making adjustments as a person's needs change over time. The home allows respite stays for folks needing short-term care, and family can visit often, with visiting hours set to keep things flexible. Residents often get to know each other well, and staff work hard to build a family-like feel where it's easy to settle in, feel valued, and join in activities, from fishing to quilting, or just spending time together in the warm and simple common rooms by the fireplace or TV. The community is medium-sized, with about 14 beds, and the whole place keeps an eye on privacy, safety, and the details that matter, like HIPAA compliance and easy access to help if someone needs it. Beehive Homes of Hurricane offers options for assisted living, adult day care, memory care, and respite care, with studio room layouts and a choice of spaces depending on care needs, and residents usually can remain through end of life barring any need for skilled nursing. This is part of the BeeHive Homes network, so it follows a care model found in other places across the country, with a strong focus on independence, activity, and community, and it's known in town for steady care and a simple, comfortable way of living for seniors who want both help and privacy in a familiar setting.
