    Private bright home, attentive staff

I placed my loved one at Evergreen Adult Family Home and I'm very satisfied - private, bright rooms and baths, a lovely deck, and a clean, smell-free home made it comfortable. Ellie and Eric Valdez and their attentive team provided respectful, personalized care with nurse-owner oversight, 24/7 observation, quick medical updates to family, well-organized activities, meals and rehab support that eased the transition. I recommend this caring, experienced staff for hands-on, loving support.

    Summary of reviews

Overall sentiment: The reviews present a uniformly positive view of Sheridan View Adult Family Home, emphasizing high-quality, attentive, and personalized care in a small, home-like setting. Multiple reviewers highlight continual oversight (24/7 observation) and direct involvement of proprietors and a nurse-owner, which families report as reassuring and a major factor in their satisfaction. Several comments specifically note proactive communication with families and medical providers, prompt reporting of health changes, and coordination with outside clinicians, including VA doctors and hospice services.

Care quality and staff: Reviewers consistently describe the care as tender, attentive, consistent, and respectful. The staff are repeatedly characterized as experienced, upbeat, and loving, creating an affectionate and sometimes humorous daily atmosphere that families appreciate. Specific praise centers on the nurse-owner’s oversight and the team’s quick communication about health updates and needs. One reviewer contrasted the care favorably against a larger facility (Aegis), indicating that Sheridan View provided better attention and left no doubts about quality. Several families expressed relief and gratitude that their relative was “well cared for” and that transitions (including into hospice or group housing) were handled smoothly.

Facilities and environment: The home is described as bright, light, clean, new or freshly maintained, with private rooms and bathrooms and no strong odors. Multiple mentions of a bright, cheery, and open environment suggest good natural light and an inviting atmosphere. Outdoor amenities such as a “beautiful deck” are noted. Reviewers also commented on room setup being perfect and the overall comfort of the residence. Cleanliness and lack of institutional smell are repeated positives, reinforcing the small-home appeal.

Dining and activities: Reviewers note that residents receive three meals a day and that meals are part of a routine supporting residents’ well-being. There are organized activities and a well-organized exercise program; staff engage residents in exercise and mobility training. On-site staff are specifically credited with teaching or assisting residents to use walkers and wheelchairs, indicating attention to functional mobility and rehabilitation. The combination of structured activities and freedom to come and go suggests a balance between safety and autonomy.

Management, communication and transitions: Strong themes are active management involvement and clear, proactive family communication. Proprietors and the nurse-owner are described as accessible and communicative, consulting with outside medical providers when appropriate. One reviewer specifically mentioned hospice transition support, and others commented on smooth transitions to group housing or care levels. These patterns suggest an administrative approach that emphasizes continuity of care, coordination with clinical teams, and family engagement.

Patterns, recommendations, and limitations of the reviews: The reviews are uniformly positive and include repeated recommendations and expressions of gratitude to named staff (e.g., Aurica, Ellie and Eric Valdez in one comment, and the Evergreen Adult Family Home recommendation from one reviewer). Notably, there are no explicit negative comments or concerns in the supplied summaries. This unanimity is itself informative: reviewers focus on personal attention, cleanliness, strong communication, and effective clinical oversight. However, the absence of critical feedback in this dataset means there is limited visibility into potential issues that families sometimes raise in other settings (cost, availability, staff turnover, waitlists, or specific clinical/caregiver challenges). Prospective families may want to confirm those operational details directly with the home.

Bottom line: Sheridan View Adult Family Home is portrayed across these summaries as a small, well-run, family-centered residence that delivers high-touch, medically attentive care with strong family communication, clean and comfortable facilities, structured meals and activities, and supportive transitions (including hospice). The dominant themes are personalized attention from experienced staff and visible management involvement, both of which generate strong family confidence and multiple explicit recommendations.

About Sheridan View Adult Family Home

Sheridan View Adult Family Home is a small, private house for adults and seniors who need help with daily tasks and care, and it sits in Lake Forest Park, WA, in a newer building that's modern and clean, built in 2021, with comfortable spaces so residents can feel at home instead of in an institution, and the home's licensed for up to 8 residents, though some locations like Greenhaven LLC and SPADA'S HOME each have 6 licensed beds, and the setting lets people enjoy social areas, group meals, and time with others. Caregivers are always present, day and night, offering help with dressing, bathing, medication, and things like laundry or activities, which makes life easier for people who have different levels of need, and the owners, Aurica, who's a registered nurse, and her husband Flavius, who works as a nursing assistant, lead the care team, so residents get personal attention in a safe place. Families stay connected since they can talk with staff about how loved ones are doing, which is a comfort. The home's designed for peace of mind, not flash, with features like wide doorways, clean rooms, and a calm, social living room, and it gives people a choice if they want non-medicaid care in a place that doesn't take Medicare. Sheridan View Adult Family Home supports adults who need extra help, seniors needing more care, and people who want to live in a smaller, homey setting instead of a large facility, and the staff helps with personal care, routines, and encourages social time and sensory engagement, with everything meant to keep people healthy, safe, and comfortable.
