    About Richmond Way

Richmond Way sits in Delavan, Wisconsin, and has a quiet, home-like setting meant for seniors needing help with daily tasks, and families wanting some peace of mind, and you'll find it cares for both couples and singles with up to six residents living together, so it's smaller on purpose, which people tend to like if they don't want to feel lost in a crowd. Staff help with bathing, dressing, medication reminders and management, and other personal care, even help with getting around or feeding by spoon if someone needs it, and nursing staff and caregivers provide care day and night, so there's always someone to help or answer a call button. The six apartments are fully furnished, with private or shared bedrooms, different layouts, closets, low-slip floors for safer walking, and there's Wi-Fi, cable, phone, emergency alert systems, and regular housekeeping, laundry, dry cleaning, and maintenance to keep things in good order. Staff serve three homemade meals a day, along with snacks and special menus for people with diabetes, allergies, or other health needs, and if you like eating in a group, there's a dining room, café spaces, and all-day dining. Community spaces include a reading room, movie area, fitness and wellness center, salon and beauty shop, garden, game rooms, and social areas where people can gather for music therapy, animal visits, cards, arts and crafts, and special events like movie nights and spiritual gatherings, and sometimes there are massage and barber services brought in. People living at Richmond Way get help with things like housekeeping, transportation to doctor's appointments, errands, or group outings, and there are always scheduled activities and daily routines to keep everyone involved and moving, for both mind and body, like exercise classes, crafting, computer lessons, a greenhouse, and a library section. There's memory care and dementia-friendly programs for those who need it, with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's support, medication setup, fall prevention, health checks, wound care, diabetic care, and continence management, and the staff know how to help residents who are non-ambulatory. Family members are welcome to stay for short visits, and the place also offers short-term respite stay if regular caregivers need a break. The community has a license under Wisconsin number 12368 as a Community-based Residential Facility for non-ambulatory residents. It doesn't usually take Medicare unless certified for it, but it offers care aimed at keeping seniors as independent as possible, in a setting where friendly staff are always near, and there's always something meaningful to do.
