    Beautiful facility, attentive staff, expensive

I moved my parent here and couldn't be more pleased. The facility is beautiful and spotless — resort-like rooms with Lake Michigan views, water features, and nature nearby — and the food is delicious. Staff (especially director Julie) are warm, attentive and treat residents like family, offering individualized, safety-first healthcare, dignity and companionship. There are engaging wellness activities, exercise classes, a movie room and lively Friday happy hours with music and dancing — the only downside is that it's quite unaffordable.

The facility is repeatedly described as warm, caring, and respectful of residents' dignity, with staff who listen to families and prioritize healthcare and safety. Care quality and staff performance are frequently emphasized. Reviews use phrases such as "best personal care," "attentive and individualized care," and indicate that the team is receptive to family input. The director, Julie, is singled out positively, suggesting visible and effective management. Staff are described as friendly and accommodating, contributing to a warm atmosphere that supports resident wellbeing. Safety and healthcare are noted as prioritized, which reinforces an impression of reliability in clinical and daily-living support.

The facility and setting receive strong, consistent praise. Multiple reviewers describe the building as beautiful, resort-like, and spotless. Specific amenities and environmental features are highlighted: lake Michigan views, water features, nearby zoo and natural surroundings, and attractive living spaces. These descriptions point to a high-quality, scenic campus that enhances residents' daily experience. Cleanliness and an upscale, comfortable presentation are recurring themes.

Activities and programming appear plentiful and varied, reflecting an emphasis on wellness and social engagement. Reviewers mention engaging, wellness-oriented activities, happy hour events with music and dancing (noted specifically on Fridays), movie room access, and exercise classes. The facility is also described as receptive to new ideas for programming, indicating flexibility and a resident-centered approach to activities and leisure.

Combined with the resort-like facility and a range of social offerings, the dining experience appears to be a strength that complements both the physical environment and the social programming.

The primary concern repeated across summaries is cost: at least one reviewer explicitly labeled the community "unaffordable," and affordability is the only clear negative theme among the compiled summaries. There are no consistent complaints about staffing, cleanliness, care quality, or programming beyond the cost issue.

In summary, the reviews portray Angelus Village Of Manitowoc II as a high-quality senior living option with strong, person-centered care; attentive, family-oriented staff; a beautiful and well-maintained facility in a desirable natural setting; robust activities and social programming; and good dining. The dominant caveat for prospective residents and families is cost, which may be a barrier despite the many positive attributes highlighted by reviewers.
