      Peaceful compassionate staff, highly recommended

I'm very pleased and at peace leaving my mom here. The staff are compassionate, understanding, and helpful - the care is outstanding and she's engaged in activities and social interaction, not alone. The community is beautiful, very clean, great value; I highly recommend it.

      Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive. Families consistently emphasize that residents receive outstanding, compassionate care and that the community itself presents as attractive and well-maintained. Phrases like "outstanding care," "well taken care of," and "at peace leaving her there" recur, indicating that the facility succeeds at meeting core caregiving expectations and providing reassurance to family members.

Care quality and staff: The dominant theme is the quality of the staff and the care they provide. Multiple summaries highlight staff described as compassionate, caring, understanding, and helpful. These characterizations point to both clinical and emotional support — caregivers are perceived as competent while also demonstrating empathy and clear concern for residents' well-being. The phrase "mom will be in good care" and comments expressing peace of mind suggest families trust the facility's care practices and feel confident about safety and daily support.

Facilities and cleanliness: Reviewers describe the community as beautiful and very clean, with a "home is very nice" atmosphere. That combination—attractive, clean, and home-like—supports positive impressions of the physical environment and suggests maintenance and housekeeping meet or exceed expectations. There are no specific negative remarks about rooms, common areas, or hygiene, which reinforces the strong positive signal for facilities.

Activities and socialization: Another clear strength is the active social programming. Reviews mention "activities offered," "activities for her," and that the resident is "not alone," indicating that the community provides meaningful engagement and opportunities for interaction. These points suggest that the facility helps residents stay socially connected, which contributes to family members' satisfaction and a sense that their loved one is engaged rather than isolated.

Value and recommendations: Commenters explicitly call the community a good value and recommend it to others. The combination of perceived high-quality care, a pleasant environment, and engaging activities appears to drive these recommendations. Several reviews state satisfaction in terms that go beyond neutral contentment—words like "pleased," "positive overall," and explicit recommendations indicate strong net satisfaction among reviewers.

Concerns and gaps: The primary and recurring concern is the emotional difficulty of the transition: reviewers note that the move can be difficult for family members. That is a common, often expected challenge when a loved one moves into senior living and suggests prospective families should anticipate an adjustment period and seek out transition-support resources. Beyond that single concern, the reviews do not provide detail about other operational areas such as dining quality, medication management specifics, staffing ratios, or management responsiveness. The absence of comments in these areas does not imply problems, but it does represent a gap in the available review data.

Notable patterns: Repetition of terms related to caring staff, cleanliness, engaging activities, peace of mind, and value indicates consistent strengths rather than isolated positive experiences. Family adjustment stress appears as the only substantive downside mentioned across the summaries. For prospective residents and families, the reviews suggest that Young at Heart IV is a well-kept, activity-oriented community with empathetic staff and reliable care; families should plan for the emotional aspects of transitioning into the community and may want to ask management about formal transition support programs, meal services, and any additional services that were not covered in the reviews.

      About Young at Heart IV

Young at Heart IV sits in Sacramento, CA, in a quiet residential neighborhood where seniors get care in a true family-style setting, since the home has only six licensed beds and both private and semi-private rooms, so it feels much more personal and less overwhelming than bigger places with hundreds of people; this is one of the Young At Heart RCFE homes, with others called No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, and No. 5, and each house runs as a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly, or RCFE, which looks after both men and women who need different levels of care, such as assisted living, independent living, memory care, and continuing care. Residents get help staying independent with support for daily needs like bathing, dressing, medication reminders, meal preparation, and even move-in coordination, while the staff, including a highly trained geriatric nurse owner, Lillian Trapse Sisayan, are on hand all day and night to offer 24-hour supervision, medication management, diabetic care, incontinence care, high acuity care, and hospice services, especially for folks with Alzheimer's and other memory challenges.

Meals come prepared each day and residents share group dining in charming, comfortable surroundings, with special menu options like vegetarian, kosher, diabetes-friendly, and meals tailored for personal dietary needs, and everything's served in a way that promotes dignity and comfort. Housekeeping and linen services mean residents can stay comfortable and worry less about chores, and the facility keeps a regular schedule of daily activities and group events to help boost quality of life, while pet accommodations let people keep their animal companions close by if they choose. Each home stays licensed by the state and local authorities, with the license number 342701170 for Young at Heart IV, and offers non-ambulatory care so people using walkers or wheelchairs get what they need, and with features focused on ensuring safety, independence, well-being, and a sense of family, it becomes easier for residents to stay at their highest possible level of functioning.

The staff promise to treat everyone with respect and dignity, and encourage all residents to keep busy, make friends, and feel comfortable in their remaining years, while amenities across all Young At Heart houses include personalized care, worry-free living, a welcoming space, and gracious interiors. Although the facility doesn't accept Medicare, it remains fully licensed and works hard to provide elder care, long-term care, and a wide range of on-site amenities, including activities, health care services, help with doctor's appointments, and special attention for people with diabetes or Alzheimer's. Families are welcome to schedule a tour to see for themselves how Young at Heart IV upholds its mission of comfort, personal attention, and support for seniors needing a small, home-like place to live on their own terms.
