    About Vi at Aventura

Vi at Aventura sits in a high-rise building just north of Miami in Aventura, Florida, with balconies that look out over water, golf courses, and the city, and the place has palm trees and a decorative fountain out front, which make the grounds feel calm and open, and there are plenty of beautiful views from both the private apartments and common rooms, with natural light coming in through big windows. Residents can choose from different apartment floor plans-one-bedroom, one-bedroom with a den, two-bedroom, and two-bedroom with a den-each with maintenance-free living, and many homes have their own balconies to give people a little private outdoor space. The whole community is for people aged 55 and older, with independent living options for those who want an active lifestyle, and for people whose needs change, there's a Care Center on the grounds that offers assisted living, skilled nursing, rehab, and memory care, so residents can stay in one place even if their health changes.

The memory care area is in a separate building, purpose-built with systems in place to help residents with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia, using security bracelets and alarms for those at risk of wandering, and staff are trained to manage major behavioral issues, so even folks who need more supervision can stay safe and engaged. Nurses are on staff, and a doctor is on call at all times, and the care team stays awake and available 24 hours a day to give help with things like grooming, toileting, bathing, and medications-even insulin shots or blood sugar testing for those living with diabetes-and they also handle incontinence care, including reminders to use the bathroom and help with bowel or bladder issues. Folks who need more help with mobility, like one-person or two-person transfers or a mechanical lift, can get that kind of support in the Care Center.

Vi at Aventura accepts cats and dogs, so residents can bring pets, and guests can visit and eat with residents in the dining room, although the meals sometimes come a bit slow, but there are different dining options, including room service, private dining, and a main dining room with scenic views set with white linens and blue napkins, and special diets like gluten-free, vegan, low-sodium, or sugar-free can be arranged. Anytime dining is possible, along with international meals and vegetarian choices, and there's a Memory Care café with snacks, drinks, and a bright, welcoming setting for people to socialize safely.

Recreation matters here, so there's an indoor swimming pool with support rails and lounge chairs, a hot tub, art and stretching classes, Tai Chi, yoga, water aerobics, cooking sessions, and group trips organized by a full-time activity director who puts together activities to keep everyone involved, from stretching and art to social and educational programs. For anyone who wants to look their best or needs a trim, there's a beautician on site, and showers in apartments are wheelchair accessible. Spiritual needs can be met with offsite devotional services. There's resident parking, sometimes free and sometimes for a cost, and transportation services help people get out and about.

Vi at Aventura runs as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) and a Life Plan Community where people move in expecting to age in place, since there's independent living, assisted living, memory support, and skilled nursing all on the same campus, with licensed nurses, a doctor, and extra health services available-people can access therapies like physical, speech, and occupational therapy, plus podiatrist and dentist visits. The community's daily life includes social events, wellness programs, luxury-style amenities, inviting common areas with fireplaces and modern decor, and balconies for relaxing. The place has had a big community refresh lately, so the spaces are nicely updated, and all the services and support focus on safety, wellness, and helping residents stay as independent and engaged as possible, even as their needs change over time, and, above all, it's a home for older adults who want different levels of care in one location with lots of choices for activities, meals, and the kind of support they may need over the years.
