Merrill Gardens at Solivita Marketplace sits in Central Florida, right at 4602 Marigold Ave in Kissimmee, where the climate stays warm and you can usually count on sunny days, and the place has a Tuscan-style design that lets folks enjoy some sunshine and nice views while they go about their days. The community provides several living options for older adults, including independent living for seniors who want to be active and enjoy some social time without worrying about home upkeep, assisted living for folks who need more help with daily tasks, and memory care services for people dealing with Alzheimer's or other types of dementia, while those who need more medical support can find skilled nursing provided right on-site, which offers higher care than assisted living. You'll see the community includes large grounds, so walking or rolling to different spots around the property can take a bit of time, and they do try to make life simple by handling upkeep and chores, aiming for what they call a maintenance-free lifestyle for people 55 and over, plus there are flexible dining options to meet different nutrition needs and plenty of amenities to help keep residents healthy and comfortable. Merrill Gardens calls itself family-owned and works on giving residents freedom and flexibility as they age, offering resources and tools to help with care planning, cost questions, and information for caregivers as well. These services all fit together to make a place where seniors can find what they need as situations change, whether they're living independently, needing help, or dealing with memory loss, and the community has a relaxed pace that usually suits people who don't want to rush but prefer support and comfort, with a strong focus on simple comfort and helping everyone do as much as they want each day.

Pleasant community with minor caveats
I moved my mom into Merrill Gardens' new community and overall we're pleased. The staff are genuinely warm, communicative and attentive, the facility is clean, homey and resort-like, and activities/amenities (pool, theater, fitness, outings) are abundant. Apartments are spacious and varied but you must furnish them and some units are on the small side; dining quality and administrative/maintenance consistency have been hit-or-miss. Convenient to shopping and good value if the price fits-would recommend with those caveats.
