    Resort-like community with staff issues

I love the resort-like grounds, abundant activities, five on-site restaurants, and the village feel - neighbors are welcoming and amenities (bank, salon, pharmacy, therapy, on-site docs) make life easy. Staff are overwhelmingly kind, knowledgeable and go the extra mile (Eddie in marketing/admissions was fantastic), responsive and personalized in care and move-in support. That said, I've seen troubling lapses: communication problems, occasional unresponsive nurses, delays in hospital transfers, reports of theft/abuse, diminished food variety and a long wait list - it's large, expensive, and not right for everyone. Overall I'm grateful for the compassionate, well-run parts of the community but recommend staying involved and weighing cost and risk.
