    Active friendly community with amenities

I've been very happy living here - an active, friendly community with plenty of recreation and social options (bingo, pickleball, golf, quilt shows, parades) and engaging classes and hobbies. The grounds and large facility are beautiful and very clean, staff and residents are welcoming, and the on-site grill serves great food and can be reserved for private events.

    About Sunland Springs Village

Sunland Springs Village sits in Mesa, Arizona, as a 55+ retirement community, spread over 900 acres with homes, condos, and townhomes, and folks can build new or buy resale, though there aren't many new spots left, which gives some a chance to customize. The place circles a 27-hole executive golf course-folks seem to spend a lot of time on the greens or in the pro shop that sells gear, shoes, and clothes, and there's a neat design center where people can pick things like tile, carpet, lights, or cabinets for their homes. There's a friendly pet policy allowing small pets and visits, and a pet park for walks or a bit of sun. People live here both independently and with help-there's independent living, assisted living, nursing homes, continuing care, memory care at The Summit at Sunland Springs, respite stays, and even home care options. The Summit offers memory care services with dedicated staff, meals, a salon and spa, and daily activities for those who need more attentive care.

The community feels secure, with a guard shack for check-in and 24-hour security, and there's always staff around to help, including nurses and caregivers. Residents choose from studio, one-bedroom, or two-bedroom suites, all with wall-to-wall carpet for comfort, and you'll see plenty of healthy snacks, meals in a bright dining hall, an on-site café to grab a quick bite, and snacks offered through the day. There's always support for families too-guest and family services, family outreach, and hopes of keeping everyone in the loop.

Social life stays busy, with arts and crafts, movie and TV nights, and all sorts of activities from club meetings to card games in the 13,000 square foot Recreation Center, where there's an auditorium, plenty of rooms for activities, and a fitness center. When the weather is nice, folks make use of both heated and lap pools, pickleball and tennis courts, bocce ball, volleyball, basketball, a softball field, horseshoes, and shuffleboard. People often visit the library, community store, get their hair done at the on-site beautician, or hang out in the lounge or activity rooms. RV and trailer owners have a storage spot nearby, which is useful for those who travel now and then.

Sunland Springs Village is known for being clean and well-kept, with quiet streets, plenty of green space, and help from the Sunland Springs Village Homeowners Association. The staff includes on-site neighborhood specialists and a real estate office that helps folks find the right spot or get settled in if they're new. The community also shares news and articles on active living and celebrates residents' achievements, which makes things feel connected and lively. Pet lovers, golfers, social folks, and people needing more care all seem to find what they're looking for at Sunland Springs Village, which has served seniors in Mesa as an active adult community since Farnsworth started building here-this being their fourth since 1959. Residents and their families can tour the grounds and visit with staff and folks living here before deciding if it's the right fit.
