    About Bethlehem Towers Inc

Bethlehem Towers Inc sits at 801 Tupper Street in Santa Rosa, California, and has been there since 1970, being the tallest building in town, you know, and it's got 160 units in total, split between studio-style and one-bedroom apartments, some of which are alcove types, and it's really mainly for low to very-low income seniors, with some units set aside for people with Section 8 assistance, and over the years there've been plenty of upgrades so you've got things like energy-efficient windows, a chiller for cooling, wall heaters, rooftop fans, a back-up power generator, and everything got re-painted on the outside, plus new elevators and updates to things like lighting, signs, paving, and wheelchair access, and the kitchens and bathrooms in the units have newer or refurbished cabinets, countertops, modern appliances, water-saving plumbing, updated lighting, and new floors, so it's not all old stuff anymore, and they put a lot of work into safety too, with a state-of-the-art fire alarm system, sprinklers, smoke detectors, the kind with speaker strobes, water flow detectors, fire phones, an upgraded pressurized stairwell, and an annunciator panel - all that after some big renovations, especially after over 40 years going with just the basics. The community has 60,608 square feet of space and offers things most seniors care about, such as a game and activities room, a dining area, a fitness center, salon/barbershop, guest parking, WiFi, housekeepers, kitchenettes, and lots of maintenance, accessible bathrooms and halls, laundry rooms, and lots of social spaces that have been improved and modernized, like the social hall, a media lounge, kitchen, yoga and exercise space, and a computer center with Apple computers. Bethlehem Towers is run by Reiner Communities nowadays, but it was started by a local church group and still holds on to its mission by having the Bethlehem Foundation, a non-profit group that raises grant money to provide things like a full-time senior service coordinator right onsite, and they organize social activities, arts and crafts, education, health programs, dining, and other supports, plus independent living and assisted living services, including things like personal care assistants, help for people who use wheelchairs or walkers, and even Alzheimer's care. It's always focused on seniors, and after all the renovations with safety and accessibility, seniors can still get what they need for a price they can manage, and there's a big push to make sure people don't feel left out or unsafe thanks to a mix of features, programs, and the support of the Bethlehem Foundation.
