    About Silverado Southlake Hospice

Silverado Southlake Hospice - CLOSED used to be a hospice care facility where staff focused on supporting people who were nearing the end of life, and while it's no longer open, this place once specialized in helping patients and families deal with terminal illness by offering comfort, pain control, and emotional support, and the facility followed Silverado's approach of caring for the whole person by paying attention to things like personal interests, beliefs, and individuality. They had trained teams that worked with people who had conditions like cancer, COPD, ALS, end-stage renal disease, dementia, and other hard-to-treat illnesses, and their physician medical director would oversee the clinical practices to make sure care matched each person's needs. There were amenities just for hospice care, plus programs for memory care assisted living and respite care, and their staff believed that compassion and family mattered, always calling family members early to build a connection and having a doctor check in within the first week to go over the care plan, which made a big difference for people who needed reassurance. Silverado stood out by being the first US operator to get Alzheimer's Disease International accreditation, and they had Nexus, a brain-healthy living program, as well as the Silverado Sensory Programs to help residents stay engaged and feel comfortable. Purposeful design features were put in to help people feel more at home, and their philosophy was guided by the idea that love is greater than fear, always centering care on kindness and respect. While Silverado Southlake Hospice is now closed, it offered memory care assisted living, respite care, specialized disease programs, and personalized hospice services to people facing difficult health conditions, keeping their focus on each person's quality of life and dignity.
