Palm Greens is a large, active 55+ community located in Delray Beach, Florida, and it's really something to see with its villas, two-story Quads, and 8-Plex condos built in that classic Spanish Mediterranean style, all sitting on big green lots with long walking paths, plenty of shade, and lots of open outdoor space, and you can find people outside, on the balconies, or just strolling around the grounds on a nice day. People here have access to pools, tennis courts, bocci, and basketball, and there are shuffleboard courts, too, and you'll often hear about the Palm Greens Tennis Shop and all the tennis clubs and committees that meet up and plan games and events for anyone who wants to join. The main clubhouse, High Point West Section 3 Clubhouse, really functions as the heart of the place with a gym, big ballroom that seats about 125, card and billiard rooms, an art classroom or two, a café (the Spatulla Café is around, but sometimes it's closed for the season), a kitchen, library, and a nice TV room, and you'll see people going in and out, heading to classes, club meetings, or just stopping by for a chat or cup of coffee.
Homes here range from 944 to 1,485 square feet, and a lot of the units come with laundry machines, screened balconies or lanais, walk-in closets, and accordion shutters, and some have wonderful garden views or step-in showers, with open great room layouts and eat-in breakfast areas, plus a large screened covered patio in many units. Maintenance is handled on site, and there's a property management office open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, so you can drop by to get help with most concerns. Residents pay a maintenance fee, which is set at $570 per month starting January 1, 2025, and that covers things like auto pay options, trash, recycling, cable TV, and internet, plus the general maintenance of the amenities and grounds. The place is managed through two associations, Condo I and Condo II, with Delray Trails being added soon, and all the amenities are managed by the Palm Greens Recreation Association, which keeps a busy calendar of events and special activities, posts financial documents and rules online, and makes sure the buildings and grounds keep up with regular schedules, including power washing.
Palm Greens works to provide a tranquil environment focused on overall well-being, and there's a good mix of activities for mind and body, with enrichment classes, club meetings, plenty of recreational things to do outside, and always a good chance to meet new neighbors at the restaurant or while watching live entertainment on the stage. Property rules, financial statements, and policies are available for residents, and you'll also find help with legal documents, unit applications, estoppel requests, and insurance certificates right through the office or the website. The board of directors and office staff stay involved to make sure everything runs smoothly and safely for residents, renters, and their guests at all times.
You'll also see clubs for men, women, tennis, the Four Seasons Club, PGCA, Delray Alliance, and We Care, which all run throughout the year. Units are for rent or sale, and the setup allows for both independent and social living, with a strong sense of community. Residents often use the clubhouse gym, main pool, hot tub, and walking routes, and the grounds are always active with something going on. There's a balance of comfort, daily support, and a safe, supportive environment for anyone over 55 looking to make their home in Delray Beach.
