      About Fountainhead

Fountainhead sits right on the sand at Galt Mile Beach, so every unit has a direct ocean view and there's always a breeze coming in if you open the window, and the building itself is for people 55 and older, no kids under 17 living here, which keeps it peaceful most of the time, and you notice right away the graceful namesake fountain at the entrance while pulling up because of the roundabout out front, and as soon as you walk in, the multi-story lobby with marble touches and big windows opens up and there's someone at the 24-hour front desk ready to help with anything you need, just like the valet staff who can park your car day or night. All the amenities are right inside or no more than an elevator ride away: a world-class health and fitness center with updated machines, a full luxury spa with treatments and steam room, and a heated infinity pool out on the resort deck that's up high enough to give you a view of the Atlantic but close enough you can still hear the waves. The rooftop area is only for residents and comes with a sundeck, if you want to spend the morning up there or just relax by the water, and the pool itself is a nice round design facing out to sea with plenty of deck chairs. Shuffleboard courts sit near the gardens, which are well-landscaped, and there's picnic tables along the footpaths if you want to eat outside, plus a cabana building for shade and a barbecue area for cooking outside on weekends. People have their own parking with spaces in a garage, plus guest and surface parking for visitors, and if you like to entertain family the dining rooms include a private one with executive chef kitchens, though there's also a full-service restaurant for lunch and dinner, as well as room service if you'd rather eat at home.

The structure is poured concrete, built in 1965 but fully updated recently, and it rises 17 stories with about 126 units, most units featuring over 1,800 square feet with large windows, open floor plans, two large bedrooms, walk-in closets, updated baths with marble finishes, double sinks, soaking tubs, and separate glass showers, and the kitchen comes with custom wood cabinets, stone counters, and breakfast bars, in addition to an in-unit washer and dryer so there's no need to go out for laundry. High-speed WiFi covers all the common areas, the screening room has a big HD screen for movie nights, and they have a lounge and bar, resident's only owner's lounge, and a party or club room for events. The building also offers library space, a children's playroom for visiting grandkids, three guest suites for out-of-town family, and a sauna to relax in, and security is strong with perimeter cameras, TV communications, gated entry, attended door, and staff on hand 24/7. For outdoor living there's a massive resort deck, a pool deck with a lanai patio that connects to the beach, and landscaped paths running through 2.5 acres of grounds. The terrace is getting restored as of now with work expected to finish by late 2024, and there's also a grand lobby where you can meet visitors or just sit by the fountain. Residents get access to support like maintenance, cleaning help, building management, and a concierge team that helps with reservations, packages, transportation, or anything else. Fountainhead is a classic oceanfront building that keeps things quiet, offers big comfortable spaces with all the basics covered, and lets people enjoy the ocean air and view right from home, and even though it's a luxury place with nice finishes and an on-site spa, it's still easy to get around with elevators and wide hallways, and everything you need is close so you don't have to go far for meals, exercise, or just a seat in the sun.
