    About The Village of Poinciana

The Village of Poinciana is a 55+ community with homes that have 2, 3, or 4 bedrooms, and you'll find both single-family homes and townhouses with about 7,000 square feet of lot space, and there are private and shared rooms, including studios, so folks with different needs and budgets can find what works. People can use asphalt roads and driveways, and there's an active HOA called Poinciana Village Association that keeps things managed along with FirstService Residential and Coldwell Banker Solomon Real Estate Group, Inc. The community has several neighborhoods, or "villages," such as Broadmoor, Reedy Creek, Deerwood, Cypress, Pinewood, London Creek, Marion Creek, and Timberlake, and Broadmoor Village even lets you have modular homes with its own pool, club house, and office.

Anyone living here can use pools, a community clubhouse, and a fitness center that even has an indoor basketball court, and the aquatic center offers water slides, which is nice for visitors or grandkids. Families and friends can meet at community playgrounds, and those with dogs or cats can have pets as long as they follow breed and weight rules. Residents can rent RV storage and conference spaces, plus a digital and video library, or just enjoy parks like Deerwood Park or Lake Marion Marina, dog parks, nature trails, and pathways. There are programs and activities run through the Enrichment Academy along with organized events, like socials, Camp Villages, senior games, S.T.A.R., Running of the Squares, championship softball, Fit Club, fishing, and outdoor excursions, so there's nearly always something happening.

The Village of Poinciana's care options cover independent living, assisted living, nursing home care, and memory care, and staff help with bathing, dressing, transferring, meals, laundry, medications, and managing wandering or confusion, so people who need more help can get it. The management runs sanitation and utilities like water, irrigation, bulk pickup, and bill support, and someone can start or stop service if they move in or out. There's a 24/7 Customer Care Center to help with questions or issues, and community standards are supported with security features and a watch team, so folks feel safe. There are Adopt-A-Bench programs, community bulletin boards, and a village website that posts event schedules, community news, and board meetings.

Every two months, there's a Master Board of Directors meeting where each village president speaks up about things that matter, and each of the eight communities has a five-member board elected by residents. Anyone wishing to get involved can take part in Resident Academy, CDD Orientation programs, or join volunteer groups or committees, and there's support from both Polk and Osceola County, too. The community is managed out of an office at 401 Walnut Street, where the General Manager, Mark Maldonado, LCAM, and staff including a communication official named Trish Moore, help residents and visitors. You'll find people of many backgrounds living here, including African American, Asian, Hispanic, and White residents, and neighbors can visit the local cafes, Poinciana Lakes Plaza, or HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital close by.

The Village of Poinciana tries to keep things working well for everybody with care management, recreation, safety, community rules, and plenty of ways to get involved or just enjoy a peaceful or busy retirement as you like.
