      About GlenLakes Country Club

GlenLakes Country Club sits in Weeki Wachee, Florida, and has an 18-hole golf course that Ron Garl designed, running 6,782 yards from the black tees with a par of 72 and slope ratings ranging from 112 to 138 depending on the tee; the course ranks number 19 out of 550 courses in Florida, so while it's not the longest, it mixes tough pot bunkers, winding fairways, layered greens, and some blind approaches to give players a fair and interesting challenge, and if you like variety you'll notice the front nine plays open and wooded while the back nine is tighter and longer with plenty of hills, sand, trees, rolling land, water hazards, and hidden greens-greens that use tif eagle grass and have lots of slopes, making them tricky to read for putts. The course hosts many kinds of tournaments, like Men's and Women's Championships, USGA qualifying, and one-day competitions, and members get things like scoring, score storage, rankings, schedules, and even player of the year awards, plus scheduled tee times, policies, and dedicated sections for results and info, so there's a lot to keep up with if you want. Golfers can practice on a short game area with a sand bunker or at a driving range with six grass tees, and the club has a pro shop for booking tee times and buying gear, lessons, or training from champion golfers and professionals, and you'll find golf programs like The Next Shot, The Golf Fix, Breaking Series, as well as daily video tips and school of golf content connected to popular golf media brands like Golf Channel and GolfNow or shows like Big Break and Glam Golf with Blair O'Neal, so there's a lot of golf learning here for every skill level, young and old, advanced or beginner. The club has a dress code-collared shirts, no denim-since it's private, and besides golf, there's a 35,000 square-foot clubhouse with dining, a bar and lounge, plus space for private events, classes in computers and ceramics, talks and lectures, group fitness classes, and even personalized workout plans, so while the main draw is often the golf, there's a range of things for members and residents to do, making GlenLakes feel like a full community focused on both leisure and activity.
