    About Corona Regional Medical Center

Corona Regional Medical Center sits in Corona, California, and has been around since 1933 when it was known as Corona Community Hospital, and now it includes a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus, giving a total of 238 beds, and if you walk in, you'll find a full-service Emergency Department that's open around the clock with 41 beds, staffed by board-certified emergency medicine physicians, registered nurses, and specially trained staff, and they really focus on fast help for heart attacks with their approved PCI facility where they do percutaneous coronary intervention, plus they've built up pretty advanced stroke care too, holding the American Heart Association's Heart-Check for primary stroke centers, as well as The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for stroke care, and all of that's part of a bigger network called Southwest Healthcare, so you get access to hospital care and out-patient help. The place employs more than 1,000 trained healthcare workers, and the medical staff is about 300 doctors across more than 40 specialties, like heart care, neurology, diagnostic imaging, bloodless medicine, ICU, cancer care, OB/GYN, pediatrics, surgical services, orthopedic and spine care, allergy, pulmonary, rehab, wound care with hyperbaric oxygen, and more. They offer behavioral health services, skilled nursing, subacute care, home health and hospice, and palliative care, so they try to support folks' physical and mental health in a number of ways, including inpatient and outpatient programs. Corona Regional Medical Center also has awards like the HealthGrades 5 Star for Gynecology and Maternity, the Home Care Elite Award, and accreditation from the College of American Pathologists, and their Breast Imaging Center has 3D digital mammography. If you need other types of care, Vista Medical Group offers internal medicine and psychiatric services, and Medicross Clinic and Urgent Care helps with primary care, urgent care, and immigration exams. They offer BOTOX treatments too. Since the pandemic, they set up telehealth options, so there are e-visits, phone calls, video appointments, and email help for COVID-19 care and information. Universal Health Services owns and operates the hospital. The facility is certified by The Joint Commission, and it keeps a focus on patient safety.
