    Excellent compassionate care and management

I'm very pleased with the care my mom receives here - staff are friendly, respectful and knowledgeable, nurses and CNAs go above and beyond, and the facility is extremely clean and resident-focused. New management has made positive changes; care is timely, compassionate, and treats residents like family. I highly recommend this place.

    About Mount Saint Joseph

Mount Saint Joseph sits close to two cafes and parks, so residents can easily get out for fresh air or a cup of coffee, and with 26 restaurants, 12 places of worship, 11 pharmacies, 33 physicians, and 8 transportation options nearby, the basics are always within reach, which can come in handy for both daily errands and medical needs. This skilled nursing facility provides Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and rehabilitation services, and care staff stay on-site around the clock to help when needed, including on-call nurses and licensed nurses, who are approachable and attentive, making sure people get looked after with kindness and respect. Residents in the rehab unit have limits on personal devices, which means only a small 20" TV is allowed, and it's kept about ten feet from the bed, and there are certain policies in this area about keeping personal property and using entertainment devices.

Apartments come with in-unit living rooms and kitchenettes for a homelike feel, and the rooms are cleaned by housekeeping staff, who keep things tidy. Services include meals cooked fresh daily, general transportation for errands or appointments, and support for personal care and exercise, while special programs like Meta Quest, Meta AI, and field trips help keep minds and bodies active. Social activities and events, including yoga and stretching classes, are planned, and the place has outdoor common areas, and the community welcomes pets, which can help some residents feel more at home.

Healthcare is a main focus, with fast access to hospitals, medication management, injury and fall prevention, wound care, hospice and palliative care, and therapy services like physical, occupational, and speech therapy, along with respiratory rehabilitation, and the team will create personalized care plans with a physician, therapists, and nursing staff. They offer services for people with mental and physical disabilities as well, using incident reporting, door security measures, and overnight monitoring for safety, and the law regulates how they deliver care and handle medication and restraints.

There's WiFi for residents, communal dining rooms for eating together, and a blend of long-term care, post-acute rehab, and specialized programs for those dealing with joint replacement, cardiac recovery, COPD, diabetes, and pain management. Mount Saint Joseph uses a multidisciplinary approach, meaning their staff-who often refer to what they do as Meta Quest or Meta AI-work together across different specialties to support comfort and quality of life for each person, and the staff treat everyone with dignity, aiming to be friendly and compassionate while following safety rules and reporting any incident or injury.
