    Exceptional compassionate care, highly recommended

I'm very happy with this place. My mom loves it - she's well cared for, engaged daily, and treated like family. The staff are exceptional and compassionate (Rhoda and Annie stand out), the home is clean, visits are flexible, and the meals are excellent. Clear communication and friendly management give me real peace of mind; I would recommend it.

    About Rhoda's Assisted Living Home

Rhoda's Assisted Living Home sits on West Sheridan Street in Avondale, Arizona, inside a quiet neighborhood where only five residents live in a cozy private house, and you'll find that they've got a lot of different ways to help, whether someone needs independent living, daily help, memory care, or even skilled nursing and hospice support, and they've also got fairly straightforward move-in steps and clear waitlist rules, so people know what to expect if they're interested in a spot. The staff knows a lot about dementia and Alzheimer's care, so they've set things up for safety, things like secure outdoor areas and exit alerts for memory care, and they make sure everyone gets a plan that fits what they need, especially if someone has memory or mobility issues, and the folks who work there have certifications and over ten years of experience, so they know how to give dignified care while also offering respect and a personal touch.

The home has rooms in different sizes, like studios, single rooms, and two-bedroom spaces for those who don't need a nursing home, and they've also got semi-private and private rooms for nursing care, which makes it easy to match a room to someone's preferences or needs; people can even bring their own things and decorate their suites, which helps it feel warm and familiar. The property comes with safety features, handicap access, sprinklers, washer and dryer, cable TV in the rooms, comfortable shared areas, a library, a dining room, and even a place for haircuts, along with outdoor patios and gardens for those who like fresh air and walking paths. For daily life, caregivers assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, using the toilet, walking, wheelchair use, and transferring between places, plus housekeeping, laundry, and medication reminders or management, and there's always someone awake and available 24/7.

Medical support is steady, with nurses, wound care, medication support, podiatry, and occupational therapy available, and the home also helps with diabetes care and special diets like kosher, low fat, or low sodium; if someone needs to visit the doctor, the staff arranges transportation or goes along to help as a companion. Social life is active, with scheduled programs, arts and crafts, music, health and wellness activities, movie nights, and different events to get people together, and the kitchen serves home-cooked meals with attention to fresh ingredients or dietary rules, and there's also help if someone follows Hebrew traditions-Hebrew language is supported and kosher meals are available.

Pets are allowed in some cases, and the home keeps up recreational options like indoor activities, garden time, and chances to join resident music groups. All staff get background and driver checks, plus they receive training in ethical care, safety, and the many sides of dementia, so everyone stays safe and respected. There's even a respite care program for short stays when families need temporary help, and they've got hospice care for residents going through late stages of illness.

Rhoda's Assisted Living Home is set up so residents stay independent as long as possible, with enough help for all daily needs, a calendar full of social and connection activities, and a promise that each person is treated with compassion, safety, and the kind of respect that comes from being in a close-knit, family-style environment.
