    Compassionate attentive 24/7 care activities

I moved my mom here and feel very confident in the excellent, compassionate 24/7 care - doctors, PT and nursing are all strong. The staff are consistently attentive and friendly, and there are lots of activities (live music, chair exercise, bingo, movies, Miles for Minds) that keep residents engaged. Three good meals in a pleasant dining room/deli, a very clean facility and a spacious memory-care neighborhood helped my parent settle and feel at home. Management is communicative and supportive - I would recommend this community.

    Summary of reviews

Overall assessment The Inn Assisted Living and Memory Support is characterized by consistently positive family impressions of clinical care, staffing, and day-to-day operations. Reviews emphasize an attentive, compassionate care culture with 24/7 nursing availability, daily leadership rounds, and individualized care planning. Memory-care services are described as well developed, with a dedicated unit and staff who know residents by name; families report high satisfaction with safety and the quality of assistance provided.

Staff and management Staff quality is the facility's most frequently cited strength. Caregiving, nursing, activities, and support personnel are described as responsive, kind, and culturally diverse. Administrative leaders are noted as visible and familiar with residents, supporting coordination between independent, assisted, and memory-care levels. Low turnover and active family collaboration are recurring themes, contributing to continuity of care and smoother transitions when a resident's needs change.

Dining and activities Dining is reported as nutritious and reliable, with three meals included and an on-site deli/dining room option. Reviewers often praise food quality and meal presentation. Programming is varied and frequent: live music therapy, chair exercises, card games, movies, sing-alongs, bingo, organized events such as Miles for Minds, and incentive-based activities. Staff encourage participation, and organized events are generally described as engaging and well run, which families view as beneficial for resident well-being.

Facilities and clinical supports The building and common areas are described as clean, inviting, and well maintained. Private apartments vary in size; some units include a small kitchen and walk-in shower, while others are noted as compact, so spatial constraints are a consideration. On-site clinical supports such as physical therapy and access to physicians are cited positively, particularly in the memory-care wing where space and programming are described as ample.

Operational patterns and cautions While the overall tone is favorable, several operational patterns emerge as potential concerns for prospective residents and families. There are instances of scheduling rigidity (notably around meal times) and intermittent gaps in activity staffing (for example, occasional exercise-instructor no-shows). A change in management was associated with brief periods of perceived coldness in staff interactions for some families, suggesting that transitions in leadership can temporarily affect service tone. These issues appear to be operational and scheduling in nature rather than systemic clinical failures.

Practical considerations Prospective families should consider asking about apartment-size options and availability, current activity staffing and contingency plans, and meal scheduling flexibility during tours and admissions discussions. Overall, the facility's strengths in staffing, memory care, clinical supports, dining, and programming make it a strong candidate for people seeking an engaged, supportive assisted-living or memory-care environment, with the caveat of confirming operational details that matter to individual residents.

About The Inn Assisted Living and Memory Support

The Inn Assisted Living and Memory Support in Peoria, AZ, sits as part of the Brookdale Senior Living Inc. family and gives a wide range of care, from independent living to assisted living and memory care, all the way to skilled nursing rehab, so seniors can get more support if their needs ever change. This place really focuses on people who need help with daily activities or have memory support needs, like Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia, and you'll find specially trained staff who help with bathing, dressing, grooming, medication, or mobility, plus a 24-hour nursing team to keep an eye on everyone. Folks live in comfortable studios, single rooms, or two-bedroom units, and every space comes with sprinkler systems, Wi-Fi, cable TV, step-free access, and emergency response systems, so safety and convenience stay in mind all the time.

The community has plenty of common areas that are bright and welcoming, a courtyard and landscaped outdoor spaces for getting outside, and extra touches like a beauty/barber salon, a private dining room for family gatherings, and guest parking, so visitors always feel welcome. Housekeeping, maintenance, laundry, and linen services are all included, and residents get three nourishing meals each day from a menu with options for all sorts of diets-low salt, gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, kosher, organic, and even international or chef-prepared dishes, along with snacks and drinks any time of day, which means there's always something to suit different tastes or needs.

There's a whole schedule of social, physical, and educational activities, so people can join fitness classes, enjoy arts and crafts, or take part in clubs, outings, and cognitive programs, which helps seniors stay engaged and connected. Staff offer transportation throughout the week and can help with appointment scheduling, and residents have the option to bring their pets, with walking or wheelchair support if they need it, which helps folks stay active and independent in their own way.

Doctors and nurses are on-site or available for regular visits, a Medical Director oversees care, and there's an in-house therapy team, with focused support for anyone with diabetes, wounds, or incontinence, along with long-term care insurance choices for extra peace of mind. The memory care unit works with personalized plans and has secure areas, regular well-being checks, and programs meant to help people hold onto their sense of self and purpose, all in a respectful and caring way.

The Inn is privately owned and always aims for a sense of community-a place where life feels safe, friendly, tidy, and relaxed, and people find both peace and activity, so daily life keeps a natural rhythm for everyone who calls it home.
