    Homey, attentive care with amenities

I placed my husband here and it's been a great fit - clean, homey and comfortable. The staff are affectionate and attentive, the meals are good, and they offer lots of activities (karaoke, luau, music nights) plus sweet touches like anniversary celebrations and a nice outdoor gazebo. He has companionship, personalized care, and a private, roomy suite with a large bathroom, so honestly it feels like good value.

    Summary of reviews

Princess Lodge presents as a small, residential-style assisted living community with a clear emphasis on warm, personal interactions and basic-care reliability. Families and visitors consistently describe staff as affectionate, accommodating, and attentive; caregiving is often characterized as personalized and companion-focused. The facility appears to meet core daily needs—clean rooms and common areas, reliable assistance, and attention to residents’ comfort—which contributes to an overall home-like environment for many occupants.

Staff and care quality are among the facility's stronger features. Multiple comments highlight staff friendliness, individualized attention, and positive family communication. At the same time, the care model is described primarily as basic assisted living rather than a high-acuity clinical program. That operational focus contributes to limitations for residents who require more advanced memory-care support or higher medical intensity; the facility lacks capacity and programming geared toward advanced dementia care.

Dining and social programming receive favorable mentions. Meals are described as home-style and satisfactory, and the community organizes frequent entertainment and themed events (music programs, karaoke, luaus, anniversary celebrations) that support social engagement. However, activity schedules can be constrained at times by facility-level restrictions or regulatory considerations, which can reduce the frequency or variety of offerings for some residents.

Facilities are generally clean and maintained, with inviting exterior amenities such as a gazebo. Physical accommodations vary: some units are spacious with large bathrooms and good showers, while other units are smaller and rely on hallway bathrooms. There is no dedicated exercise room on site, and the small scale of the community limits the breadth of on-site amenities and social variety compared with larger facilities. The location is noted as less convenient to nearby shopping and retail services.

Management and value considerations are mixed. Some families find the facility to offer good value for basic assisted living and appreciate the personalized approach; others feel the pricing is high relative to the level of clinical or amenity-based services provided. The community can be an excellent fit for residents seeking a warm, home-like setting with hands-on staff attention, but it is less suitable for those needing higher-acuity dementia care, extensive therapeutic programming, or a broader range of facility amenities. Prospective residents and families should compare unit configurations (private versus shared, ensuite availability), confirm memory-care capabilities, and evaluate whether the social and geographic features align with their priorities before deciding.

    About Princess Lodge

Princess Lodge has a smaller, home-like setting with both studio and semi-private rooms, so residents can choose what fits them best, and people can be either male or female, bringing pets if they have them, which some places don't always allow, and the staff really tries to help everyone feel comfortable by offering aging in place, which means a senior doesn't have to move even as their needs change. The grounds have walking paths, a trellis-covered patio, and a gazebo, so folks can get fresh air or visit with family and friends, while indoors there's always somewhere to sit and chat or join in on an activity, including movie nights, arts, a library for quiet reading, and a hobby room for hands-on minds, plus devoted areas for memory support for those needing special help with dementia or Alzheimer's, which is something people look for when their family wants to keep everyone together, even if someone's needs are different. The staff includes nurses and visiting health professionals like doctors, dentists, podiatrists, physical therapists, and speech and occupational therapists, so everyone's care stays up to date, and the owners make regular visits because they're licensed nurses themselves, caring about details and seeing if everything's all right. Staff stay awake all night, so help is always on hand, using mechanical lifts and helping with meds, incontinence, and all those daily things like dressing and bathing if someone needs it, and they support diabetic care, but with the request that folks manage their own insulin and blood sugar checks unless they need reminders. Princess Lodge has services like respite care if somebody needs a short stay, as well as hospice support if that's needed later on, and weekly communion and other devotional programs for spiritual needs, all run by an Activities Director who makes sure events, outings, cook-outs, and even birthdays get celebrated. Meals come restaurant-style with choices for allergies and diabetes, and the staff helps with nutrition planning, plus there's laundry, dry cleaning, housekeeping, and telephone access in every room, and people set up meals to suit diets. The memory care area has its own secure building and can accept residents who have major behavior issues, while everybody gets access to the rest of the amenities, from sun-soaked patios to community-sponsored activities, and everybody's welcome to bring their pets, as long as they can help take care of them. Smoking's not allowed indoors or in any rooms. Princess Lodge has a connected, familial feeling, thanks to the staff-to-resident ratio and cheerful, attentive staff, and because it's a medium-sized community run by the Elder Lodging group where the focus stays on treating people with dignity and respect in a relaxed, social, and lively place for seniors who want support while enjoying as much freedom as possible, and folks can reach out and ask questions through social media messaging tools like Messenger or Instagram Threads if that's easier for them or their families.
