    Small caring home, highly recommended

I'm very pleased with this small six-resident home - clean, safe, and comfortable with private rooms. The staff are loving, diligent, and long-tenured (they even sang to my mom); the owners were responsive, informative, and made us feel at ease without pressure. Licensed hospice, healthy meals, in-room TV, adequate staffing, and great value - I recommend a tour.

    Summary of reviews

Christina's Care Home 1 is described consistently as a small, home-like assisted living with strengths in individualized attention and a compassionate caregiving team. Reviewers emphasize long-tenured staff who provide person-centered interactions, and several comments highlight staff responsiveness, warmth, and continuity of care. The facility's small census (commonly six residents) and reported low resident-to-staff ratios are seen as enablers of individualized care and familiarity; families expressed confidence that the facility could meet typical care needs and appreciated the presence of licensed hospice services for end-of-life support.

Staffing and management are frequently noted as positives. Caregivers are characterized as diligent and caring, and owners/management are described as approachable and responsive during tours and after move-in. The admissions process is generally depicted as supportive and non-pressured. At the same time, the small staffing model may limit capacity for higher-acuity needs or during peak demand periods; prospective families should clarify staffing levels and on-call coverage for periods when greater clinical support may be required.

Facilities and daily life are portrayed as comfortable and domestic. The home offers private single rooms with in-room TV capability, a clean interior, and healthy dining options. Several reviewers appreciated the comfortable, familiar atmosphere and the facility’s maintenance. However, there are notes of variability at the room level — some reviewers suggested that room cleanliness and sanitation standards could be more consistent. Prospective residents should ask about room-cleaning schedules and sanitation protocols during their visit.

Activities and social fit are uneven themes. While some families reported pleasant activities and a healthy menu, others observed limited programing or few structured activities. The small size contributes to a quieter, intimate environment, which appeals to many but may not provide sufficient social variety for residents who seek frequent conversation or more active engagement. Additionally, the resident demographic leans toward older individuals, so social-match considerations are important when evaluating suitability for prospective residents with different activity preferences or age ranges.

Financial and policy items are mixed. A few reviewers found the facility to be good value or among the least expensive options, while at least one family felt the cost was outside their budget. An upfront admission/move-in fee was specifically disliked by some. Families should obtain a clear, written breakdown of fees, what the move-in charge covers, and any potential additional costs to compare net affordability accurately.

Overall, Christina's Care Home 1 appears to be a strong option for people seeking a small, attentive, hospice-capable setting with stable staff and personalized care. The main considerations for prospective families are the scale-related limitations: activity variety and social-match suitability, potential room-level cleanliness variability, and the need to confirm staffing depth and fee structure. Visiting the home, reviewing staffing schedules, asking about activity calendars, and clarifying admissions fees are recommended next steps for families deciding whether this environment fits their loved one’s needs.
