Cana Place

Cana Place is a small, fully-furnished assisted living and board and care home with a license for up to six residents, where people get both private and semi-private rooms, and staff are always on-site to help with personal care like bathing, dressing, grooming, medication management, and toileting, all day and night, with an RN, LVN, or CNA as part of the care team. The meals are home-cooked and made to order, with special diets like low salt or diabetic needs taken into account, and meal prep, light housekeeping, laundry, and regular safety checks are all included, which keeps things simple and easy for everyone. There's help with getting to doctor's appointments, outings, and other local events as the staff can arrange transportation, and residents will find plenty to do with activities planned every day, such as music therapy, crafts, movie nights, outdoor walks in the garden or along walking paths, pet therapy visits, games, and community night events, plus residents may use game rooms, a book room, or join exercise and workout programs. Cana Place offers support for veterans' VA benefits, aides, and attendance programs, and stays on top of medical needs with disease-specific care, dementia and memory care for folks living with Alzheimer's or confusion, and more advanced support for incontinence, mobility, or hospice care when it's needed, all coordinated with outside healthcare providers as needed, and if someone needs a short stay for respite care, they're welcome, too. The community is owned and managed by Sam, who stays involved every day to make sure the place is safe, clean, comfortable, and cheerful, and everything is watched over with security, regular check-ins, and an overall sense of friendliness, so residents can feel secure and cared for in a peaceful home-like setting that stays organized and pleasant without being too big or crowded.
