    Consistently caring, knowledgeable, responsive team

I placed my mom here and have been very pleased. The staff are consistently caring, knowledgeable and responsive - the director keeps me informed about medical changes and doctor visits. The home is spotless, comfortable and safe (alarm doors, nice backyard/patio), meals are homemade and tasty, and they even provide personal services like nails and 24/7 dementia care. The team gave us real relief and quality time together; I highly recommend their attentive, supportive care.

    Summary of reviews

Overall sentiment across the review summaries is strongly positive, with most reviewers emphasizing exceptional personal care, cleanliness, and a warm, home-like environment. Multiple reviews use words like "amazing," "best care possible," and "perfect home for dad," reflecting high satisfaction from families who felt relief and were able to spend quality time because they trusted the staff. The facility is repeatedly described as clean, spotless, well-decorated, and sunny — contributors to a fresh, comfortable atmosphere that many find preferable to larger institutional communities.

Care quality and staff behavior are the standout strengths. Reviewers consistently praise the staff as caring, loving, attentive, supportive, proactive, and knowledgeable. Several reviews highlight that staff provide high-quality, individualized care, including special assistance and 24/7 dementia support. The presence of a consistent team is noted as a benefit, giving families confidence in continuity of care and creating a sense of stability for residents.

Communication and management receive frequent positive mention. Reviewers report clear communication, being kept informed about medical changes and doctor visits, and a responsive director who addresses concerns. That responsiveness and the proactive communication style appear to be an important factor in families' overall satisfaction and trust in the facility.

Facilities and safety features are also commonly praised. The home is described as spotless and well-decorated, with safety measures such as alarmed doors. Outdoor space — a backyard/patio and property walking areas — is repeatedly cited as a positive for gatherings and resident activity, adding to the home's appeal and home-like feel. Additional small services, like nail care, contribute to the impression of individualized attention.

Dining is another recurrent positive theme: reviewers mention homemade, hot meals that taste good and meals being accommodated to preferences or needs. Several reviewers explicitly state the food and mealtime experience was an improvement over other options, which supports the overall perception of attentive, personalized care.

The most consistent negative theme involves activities and social programming. Multiple reviewers note limited activities overall, and some say activities are inconsistent—some residents participate while others do not. This suggests the program may be minimal or unevenly implemented; it could be adequate for residents who prefer a quieter setting but disappointing for families seeking a more active schedule. A few reviewers raised concerns about staff demeanor being cold or business-like, and a small number mentioned the environment felt overly religious. These negative comments appear to be in the minority but are notable: they point to variability in staff-resident interactions and cultural fit issues for some families. Finally, location was noted by at least one reviewer as farther than desired, which could matter for families who plan frequent visits.

In summary, St. Francis' Home Care is described predominantly as a small, well-kept, and safe home with an exceptionally caring and communicative staff, strong dementia care, and home-cooked meals. Its strengths lie in personalized attention, cleanliness, consistent staffing, and responsive management. The primary areas to address or clarify are expanded and more consistent activity programming, awareness that a minority of families perceive staff interactions as less warm or the setting as more religious than expected, and the potential inconvenience of location for some visitors. For families prioritizing close, attentive care in a clean, home-like environment — particularly for dementia care — these reviews indicate St. Francis' Home Care is a highly recommended option, while those seeking robust activity schedules or a strictly secular atmosphere may want to ask specific questions during a tour.
