    Remodeled facility with compassionate staff

I'm so grateful for this fully remodeled, very clean facility with lots of natural light and a nice patio - the food is good and meals are customizable. The nurses, CNAs, therapists and housekeeping are professional, compassionate and go above and beyond (rehab helped my loved one regain strength); the Director of Nursing and staff advocate for patients and communicate clearly. Social worker Erik was amazing and always available; activities and administration are welcoming and family-friendly. I feel my relative was safe, well cared for, and I highly recommend this place.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment: The reviews for Vineland Post Acute are overwhelmingly positive. Across multiple accounts, families and patients repeatedly emphasize the facility’s compassionate, attentive staff and effective rehabilitative services. The most consistent praise centers on direct caregivers — nurses, nursing assistants, therapists, and activity staff — who are described as caring, kind, and family-like. Many reviewers explicitly state they would highly recommend the facility and express gratitude for the care their loved ones received.

Care quality and clinical services: Reviews indicate a strong emphasis on therapy and rehab. Physical and occupational therapists receive frequent commendation for helping patients regain strength and mobility; multiple reviewers attribute measurable recovery to the rehab department’s expertise. Nursing care is consistently described as high-quality, supportive, and attentive; reviewers mention specific clinical staff (nurses, CMAs) and the Director of Nursing as advocates who coordinate with physicians and support patients’ needs. Case management and social services are also highlighted as efficient and proactive, with clear communication about appointments, transportation, and discharge planning.

Key staff and communication: One of the most frequently named positives is the social worker, referred to as Eric or Erick, described as informative, easy to work with, and available to answer questions. Activity staff (including a named coordinator, Juilette) and kitchen personnel are also singled out for working hard to provide a pleasant daily experience. Multiple reviews note good family communication, regular check-ins, and staff who go above and beyond to make residents feel seen and supported.

Dining, activities, and environment: The facility’s dining program receives positive remarks for quality and flexibility — reviewers mention customizable meal options, dietary accommodations, and special events such as a monthly fine dining evening. Activities are described as engaging and varied, contributing to residents’ social well-being. The physical environment is noted as clean, fully remodeled in places, bright with natural light, and free of bad odors. Outdoor amenities like a patio and yard seating are appreciated and mentioned as pleasant features for residents and visitors.

Atmosphere and specialized care: Multiple reviews highlight a warm, small, family-oriented atmosphere that supports residents’ comfort, including during hospice and end-of-life care. Staff across departments (nursing, therapy, dietary, housekeeping, administration) are repeatedly described as compassionate and dedicated, contributing to an environment where residents feel secure, peaceful, and valued.

Management and an isolated concern: Administrative and leadership roles are generally portrayed positively — the Director of Nursing is named as an effective advocate, and administration is described as supportive. The only recurring negative comment across the summaries concerns the facility physician in charge, who in one review was described as absent and exhibiting a curt, dismissive, or uncaring bedside manner. This criticism appears isolated; it is the lone notable concern amid a large volume of praise for clinical and support staff.

Overall assessment: Taken together, the reviews depict Vineland Post Acute as a well-run, clean, and compassionate skilled nursing and rehab facility with strong therapy outcomes, excellent nursing care, proactive social work/case management (notably Eric/Erick), engaging activities, and good dining options. The facility’s small, family-like environment and attention to individualized needs — including hospice support and dietary accommodations — are important strengths. The single reported issue regarding one physician’s bedside manner should be considered alongside the otherwise consistent positive experiences reported by numerous families and patients.

    About Vineland Post Acute

Vineland Post Acute sits in North Hollywood, California, and has 49 certified and licensed beds, so it's a smaller place where most days about 41 residents stay, and it's run as a for-profit company by Thomas Chambers and David Johnson. The facility is really focused on post-acute care, helping people recover after hospital stays, and they do offer skilled nursing care round-the-clock, with nurses providing an average of 4.57 hours per resident each day, though the nurse turnover rate at 35.2% is something folks sometimes wonder about. They work on making care plans personal, usually working with the family to decide on treatments, and the therapy team offers a mix of physical, occupational, and speech therapy, using a dedicated therapy room with lots of equipment, all meant to help residents regain strength and independence. People can also get help from social services for care planning, discharge, and dealing with requests or concerns, and there are uplifting activities and social programs designed so everyone can join in no matter their needs. The place has outdoor patios with shaded seats, an entrance seating area, a wide room with a fireplace and art on the walls, and both front and back outdoor entrances you can see if you look at photos.

Vineland Post Acute aims to provide a comfortable, family-friendly setting during recovery, and they say they're committed to mental health, good teamwork, and putting patients first, all while trying to create a secure environment that addresses both clinical and social needs. They help with support services if someone needs post-acute rehabilitation, hospital discharge recovery, or home healthcare, and there's always a team of clinicians, therapists, and medical consultants ready to help with therapy and skilled nursing care day and night. They've got a 5-star Medicare rating, but even with that they've had 47 inspection deficiencies, including four for infection control like lacking a complete infection prevention program, and some resident rights deficiencies such as not always making sure the environment stayed as safe, clean, or homelike as it should be. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services do inspect and report on the facility, so reports and complaints are a matter of public record. Vineland Post Acute does follow local health department guidance on visitation and infection control, inviting tours for families looking into care.
