    Spotless comfortable building, helpful staff

I live here and am very pleased - staff are helpful, the building and my residence are spotless and comfortable, and common areas (lovely lobby, library/computer room, spacious community/roof rooms) are well furnished and well supplied. The laundry is excellent with many new machines, rolling baskets and carts, it's walkable with lots to do nearby, and overall this is a top-flight, peaceful place I enjoyed - encantó, muy divertido.

    Summary of reviews

Westminster Manor presents as a well-maintained senior housing community with many strong physical amenities and an accessible location. Positive comments emphasize clean, attractive common areas — including a pleasant lobby, library/computer room, and large community spaces — along with well-kept private residences. The property offers generous laundry facilities (many machines, new washers/dryers, rolling baskets and carts) and a rooftop community room that provides scenic views. The site’s walkability and proximity to nearby services and attractions are recurring strengths.

Feedback on staff and care is mixed but leans positive with multiple mentions of helpful, supportive staff and an impression of responsive on-site services. Supportive services and staff rapport are noted as strengths that contribute to a peaceful living environment. That said, there are distinct concerns about staff conduct and communication that suggest variability in interactions with residents; these concerns include perceived lapses in professionalism and enforcement of policies.

Operationally, the facility shows both strengths and weaknesses. Common-area cleanliness and well-supplied communal rooms are clear positives, but operational gaps appear around routine maintenance and supplies: inconsistent replenishment of hygiene supplies, vending/snack maintenance issues (including expired items), and pest-control concerns were flagged. These are facility-level maintenance and oversight issues rather than a reflection of the building’s overall upkeep.

Resident lifestyle and activities are supported by multiple communal spaces, books and computers, and an active neighborhood with things to see and do nearby; the environment is described as quiet and enjoyable by many. Noise control inside units appears effective due to sound insulation, but the proximity to a major freeway introduces traffic noise externally. Parking and perimeter conditions are areas of concern: limited or poorly maintained parking and the presence of nearby unsheltered activity raise perimeter safety and neighborhood-condition considerations for prospective residents and families.

In summary, Westminster Manor offers strong physical amenities, clean and comfortable living spaces, and generally helpful staff, making it attractive for those prioritizing common-area quality and a walkable location. Prospective residents should balance these positives against operational issues such as pest control, supply and vending oversight, parking constraints, and occasional concerns about staff conduct and policy enforcement. A focused conversation with management about pest-control protocols, hygiene-supply practices, smoking-policy enforcement, parking availability, and recent corrective actions would help clarify whether the facility’s operational improvements address the noted concerns.
