    Caring professional staff, outstanding therapy

I was very pleased with my loved one's stay - the staff were caring, professional and went the extra mile, with skilled nurses/CNAs and outstanding PT/OT that helped her return home. The facility is modern, spotless and welcoming, meals were nutritious and tasty, and activities plus responsive, communicative management kept our family informed. I highly recommend this team and appreciate the genuine, attentive care (special thanks to Tara, Reba, Shirley and Tyler); there's always small room to fine-tune things.

    Summary of reviews

Across the reviews, Tice Valley Post Acute receives consistent praise for its direct-care teams and rehabilitation services. Families and former residents commonly highlight compassionate, attentive nurses and CNAs and an effective PT/OT program that focuses on return-to-home goals. Several reviews mention strong clinical contributors — including wound and therapy staff — and note positive outcomes such as improved mobility, diabetes management, and pain control. The facility’s activity programming and social atmosphere are repeatedly described as stimulating and community-building, with organized group opportunities and therapeutic activities that support recovery and social engagement.

The dining and environmental aspects of the campus are also frequently commended. Many reviewers describe meals as nutritious and well-prepared and characterize the facility as clean, modern, and well-maintained, with attractive common areas and roomy rooms that support social interaction. Management accessibility and communication receive positive mentions; some families describe administrators and managers as responsive and involved in care coordination and discharge planning.

Notwithstanding these positives, several operational concerns recur in the feedback. There are allegations of discriminatory conduct and harassment and specific concerns that treatment may vary by payer/insurance status; these are serious issues that potential residents and families should evaluate directly with facility leadership. Staffing stability is another theme — reviewers cite high turnover among nursing staff, which can affect continuity of care and handoffs. Several comments also point to inconsistent responsiveness during night shifts and the need to monitor nighttime coverage and response times.

There is some variability in ancillary areas. While many reviews praise the dining program, others describe inconsistent meal quality; similarly, most comments describe well-maintained rooms but isolated reports raise concerns about in-room furnishings and amenity maintenance (for example, chairs, TVs, or furniture condition). Taken together, the pattern is of a facility with strong clinical and rehabilitative capabilities and a clean, welcoming environment, but with operational risks tied to staffing consistency, night coverage, and serious personnel-conduct concerns that warrant inquiry when evaluating placement. Prospective residents and families should speak directly with leadership about staffing ratios, night-shift coverage, anti-discrimination policies, and recent turnover to confirm current conditions and mitigations.
