    Charming building, caring staff, enriching

I live in a charming older building where the staff are genuinely caring, skilled, and go above and beyond for dignity and medical needs. My bright, immaculate one-bedroom/studio is roomy and well-kept, meals are delicious with dietary options, and daily imaginative activities, outings and a milkshake/popcorn snack area keep life enriching. Laundry, housekeeping, meals and transportation are handled reliably, and the warm, family-like atmosphere gives me real peace of mind at an affordable price - I highly recommend it.

    About Senior Living Community

Senior Living Community in Yorba Linda, CA, has been serving seniors since 1957 and holds a license for up to 76 residents, offering studio, one, and two-bedroom suites, some with patios and garden views, across a single-story layout, which makes it simpler to get around without stairs or elevators, and you'll see grassy areas, flowers, and even a community garden outside for anyone wanting to enjoy fresh air. There's a full-time receptionist and concierge available every day of the week, so residents and visitors can always get help or directions, and the visiting hours run from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with after-hours access through the wellness center when needed. Security comes from both staff and video surveillance, plus an emergency response system in case something goes wrong day or night. The grounds and buildings are kept up by the on-site maintenance crew who handle repairs and keep the gardens tidy, so the place stays in good working order.

Each private apartment, whether it's a studio, one-bedroom, or two-bedroom, comes with a kitchenette, bathroom, patio, and is set up with basic cable and Wi-Fi, with all utilities included except the phone, which cuts down on monthly bills and makes living easier, and there's weekly housekeeping and laundry service to help keep things neat and fresh. Seniors can choose from independent living, assisted living, memory care-including a 17-bed memory neighborhood with private rooms and familiar staff for those with cognitive needs-and short-term or hospice care, depending on their needs or stage in life, with person-centered care focusing on individual interests, activities, and medical needs, whether that means help with medication, bathing, dressing, injections, toileting, or just having someone around for companionship and support.

For dining, the community offers chef-prepared meals every day, plus a full breakfast bar, salad and soup bar, and snack options, taking into account dietary preferences such as heart-healthy, gluten-free, vegetarian, dairy-free, sugar-free, or diabetic menus, and meals are served in spacious dining rooms with the option to eat outside on the patio or use a private dining room for guests. There's an ice cream parlor open 24 hours a day, so residents can have a treat whenever they want, and transportation services with buses and one-on-one rides to medical appointments, errands, or scheduled outings, which makes it easier for people to get where they need to go without worrying about driving.

The activity calendar fills up with physical fitness groups, arts and crafts in the ceramics room or craft center, piano areas, games like bingo or shuffle board, billiards, Wii, card games, sewing groups, woodworking, discussion groups, and spiritual gatherings in the chapel, along with outings to local places or shops, and the Life Enrichment Program focuses on providing plenty of social, recreational, educational, and spiritual activities for the mind, body, and spirit, keeping people active and connected. There's also a full-service salon and barber for hair and nails, a gym for exercise or physical therapy, a library, computer stations, a chapel, and even a small country store for daily needs, while guests visiting family can use guest rooms for a small charge.

Trained staff-including caregivers, LVNs, Med-Techs, and specialty care partners for memory care-stay on site 24 hours a day to make sure residents get medical help, supervision, and personal support as needed, and the staff have earned awards for good care, activity choices, and kindness, building a reputation for friendliness that's often noticed by people who visit or move in. Pets are allowed, so folks who want to bring their dog or cat can usually do so, and a welcoming feeling runs through the community from the staff to the residents, with the goal of promoting a good quality of life through simple comforts, reliable services, and a sense of belonging, whether someone's seeking independent living with less upkeep, needs help with daily routines, or is looking for a safe and supportive environment to handle memory challenges.
