    Homey community with caring staff

I had a wonderful, homey experience at this small, clean, and safe community - the close-knit, caring staff gave real personalized attention and strong bereavement support. The food was good, and the new administrator Deborah clearly cares deeply; it never felt corporate. I would highly recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Aladdin Assisted Living is described consistently as a small, home-like community with a clean, comfortable interior and a welcoming atmosphere. Many comments emphasize a close‑knit staffing model and personalized attention; reviewers highlight friendly, caring employees and an administrator who is hands-on and perceived as deeply involved in resident care. Families frequently note strong bereavement support and an overall feeling that the environment is safe and resident-centered rather than corporate.

Care quality is a mixed picture. On the positive side, the facility's small scale appears to enable individualized attention, warm staff–resident interactions, and rapid relationship-building. However, one serious family account raises concerns about clinical monitoring, responsiveness, and caregiver competency. That account included claims about insufficient attention to basic clinical needs and subsequent medical escalation. This is a significant, individual allegation and should prompt prospective families to request documentation of clinical protocols, incident-response procedures, staff training records, and references from other families.

Dining and daily life receive generally favorable comments — reviewers mention good food and a homelike dining experience — but there is some indication of limited menu variety or menu satisfaction described as only "okay" by a few. Operationally, the reviews suggest potential weaknesses in meal-service continuity and in how hydration and nutrition monitoring are managed. Prospective residents should ask about meal rotation, accommodations for special diets, mealtime assistance procedures, and how hydration and intake are documented and escalated.

Management and facilities are commonly praised: the administrator is viewed as engaged, and the non‑corporate, homey culture is repeatedly cited as a strength. That same small scale, however, may contribute to variability in care consistency and fewer redundancies in staffing or clinical oversight. To evaluate operational reliability, families should review staffing ratios, on‑site clinical oversight, caregiver competency-validation processes, and the facility's communication protocols for incidents and family updates.

In summary, Aladdin presents strong, household-style strengths — attentive staff, clean and comfortable spaces, supportive bereavement practices, and engaged management. At the same time, the presence of a serious, individual allegation about clinical monitoring and several comments implying variable service consistency suggest the need for due diligence. Recommended next steps for prospective residents and families include reviewing clinical and staffing policies, asking for recent inspection or audit results, speaking with the administrator about training and incident-response procedures, and requesting current family references.

    About Aladdin Assisted Living

Aladdin Assisted Living has independent and assisted living options with private apartments and wide hallways that don't have any steps, which makes it easier for folks who have a hard time getting around, and the rooms have individually-controlled heating and air conditioning so everyone can stay comfortable, and they've got cable TV and phone hookups, computer access, and paid utilities included in rent, and you'll find smoke alarms, sprinkler systems, and 24-hour staff supervision for safety and peace of mind. Residents can choose single-family homes, condos, mobile homes, or apartment-style spaces, and the place is designed for active seniors, often with age limits of 55 or 62 and up, and some areas are pet-friendly, though there are places where pets aren't allowed. Aladdin Assisted Living has on-site meal programs, so folks get up to three home-cooked meals a day in a nice dining room, along with snacks throughout the day, and they do housekeeping, laundry, and linen services too, so chores are taken care of, and there's help with appointments, transportation, and getting in-home care if it's needed. They develop individualized care plans, offering help with bathing, dressing, grooming, or getting around, and staff provides medication reminders, incontinence care, non-ambulatory care, and more, plus memory care for folks dealing with Alzheimer's or dementia. Social activities happen both on-site and off-site, with trips, games, and faith-based gatherings, and family and friends are welcome to join meals and events. The facility is set up to be accessible for wheelchairs, including bathrooms with walk-in showers and tubs, and there's resident parking and complimentary transportation. Amenities also include beautician services and comfortable indoor and outdoor common areas where people can gather or relax. Aladdin Assisted Living is state-licensed, number 2301IS, and the cost structure asks for a $500 entry fee plus half a month's rent, with different amenities included in the base rent while some services might cost extra, plus there are all-inclusive options. They'll work with federal and state programs like Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security Disability, and caregiver support for eligible residents, especially helpful for those with higher care needs, as Alzheimer's care typically costs more. Aladdin Assisted Living provides respite care for short stays, and the environment is described as warm and attentive, with staff available day and night, so seniors can have a more relaxed, hassle-free lifestyle without worrying about daily chores or safety, whether they need a little help or more regular care.
