    Compassionate staff, clean and home-like

I placed my mom here and am very pleased - the nurses and staff are compassionate, professional, and truly go out of their way. The place is clean and home-like, with good food, rehab and memory-care programs, lots of activities (bingo, movies, outings, therapy dog) and handy on-site services like haircuts. I feel confident leaving my loved one here and would recommend it - not the fanciest building, but the caring team makes the difference.

    Summary of reviews

Reviewers present a broadly mixed but generally positive view of day-to-day caregiving at Fairacres Manor, with many families emphasizing compassionate, attentive staff and a strong rehabilitation team. Praise is frequent for individual caregivers, nurses, physical therapists and activity staff who are described as knowledgeable, friendly and willing to go beyond routine tasks. Several accounts highlight consistent caregiverโ€“resident relationships and the facilityโ€™s willingness to support memory-care transitions and end-of-life dignity.

Dining and activities are notable strengths. The activity program is described as varied and frequent โ€” bingo, crafts, Wii and card games, musical performances, gardening, frequent outings and patio/social events โ€” and reviewers commonly report that residents are kept engaged. Food service generally receives positive comments about variety, portioning and snack availability (bistro, snack stations, refrigerators), though a subset of families described the dining experience as more institutional at times. On-site therapy and rehabilitative services are repeatedly identified as high-quality and effective for short-term recovery.

Facility condition and resident environment are described in largely favorable terms: many families noted clean, home-like common areas, an immaculate appearance in rooms and regular housekeeping and laundry. The secure courtyard and outdoor spaces are frequently cited as pleasant amenities. At the same time, reviewers raised facility-level infrastructure concerns including small or shared rooms, limited natural light in some wings, lack of individual room climate controls, and specific maintenance or safety items that would benefit from attention.

Several operational and management patterns recur in the feedback. Families reported variability in staff conduct and communication: while many caregivers are praised, others are described as less engaged or inconsistently trained. Staffing shortages and workload pressure were linked to delays in routine assistance and uneven service at times. Administrative concerns include billing and payment-process rigidity, inconsistent handling of power-of-attorney/payment issues, and isolated breaches of confidentiality; these point to opportunities for clearer policies and staff training. A number of reviewers also referenced regulatory or state-level issues, indicating the importance of reviewing the facilityโ€™s compliance history during evaluation.

In summary, Fairacres Manor is often viewed as a warm, activity-rich community with strong rehabilitative services and many compassionate caregivers. Prospective residents and families who prioritize interpersonal care, activities and on-site therapy may find the facility a good fit. Those evaluating placement should, however, probe current staffing levels and turnover, review the facilityโ€™s regulatory record, clarify billing and confidentiality procedures, and inspect individual rooms (size, light, thermostat, and maintenance condition) to ensure the physical environment meets their needs.

    About Fairacres Manor

Fairacres Manor has been serving the Greeley community since 1964, and it stands out as the only locally owned nursing and rehabilitation facility in town, which gives it a steady and familiar kind of feel that many people find reassuring, and those walking through can see that it's managed by folks who live in the area and know what the community needs. Residents here get round-the-clock skilled nursing care that's supervised by licensed professionals, and there's a strong focus on personalized and individualized care plans, which helps each person feel known. The facility provides both long-term care and short-term rehab for folks moving from hospital back to home, along with respite care for families that might need a break. There's a serious emphasis on complex clinical care, with treatments like IV therapy, wound care, and chronic disease management right on site, and a subacute unit designed for more complicated medical situations that need close, coordinated treatment. There's also a team for hospice and comfort care, and these services happen in a secure and comforting environment.

For memory care, Fairacres Manor has programs made for people living with dementia or Alzheimer's, and the memory support area is fully secure, with specially trained staff who know how to work with memory-related conditions so loved ones stay safe and engaged. Physical, occupational, and speech therapy services are all available, with therapists coming to work alongside residents as needed, and there are massage therapies and even holistic touches like aromatherapy which some people say help with comfort. When it comes to doctors, the Manor arranges for telemedicine and regular on-site physician visits, so care remains accessible and doesn't always require a trip out. Meals and dining are handled by a dedicated team that serves quality meals daily, and there's always a calendar full of activities and social events, because the staff knows staying active and connected matters.

The grounds have a gazebo where residents and visitors can go outside and chat or just relax when the weather's nice. Visiting hours are open 24/7, with health and safety checks in place. The place keeps to a "Commitment to Kindness" philosophy, which you'll hear about from the staff and folks living there, and this means the team really does try to treat everyone with compassion and respect. The environment inside feels welcoming, a lot like home rather than an institution, and that's important for people looking to keep some independence and comfort in their daily routines. Fairacres Manor is part of Vivage Senior Living, linked to other facilities like Colorow Care Center, and has several care options, including dementia support, long-term care, post-acute rehab, and extended care for people who need 24-hour monitoring. The Manor holds a "Great Place to Work" certification, and many families mention that the home-like setting and sense of community stand out, especially for seniors wanting to live life with some dignity and choice in how they spend their day.
