    Warm staff and excellent amenities

I moved my mom here after rehab and we've been very happy - the staff (especially manager Allyson) are warm, organized, and go above and beyond. The kitchen is fantastic with delicious meals, apartments are bright, roomy and well-equipped (full kitchens, in-unit washer/dryer, plenty of storage), and there are tons of activities, outings, church groups and social opportunities. Beautiful grounds, great maintenance, and a true family feel - I'd definitely recommend this community.

    Summary of reviews

Good Samaritan Society - Fox Run Senior Living is consistently described as a community with spacious independent-living units, strong social programming, and a welcoming staff culture. Apartments are notable for their square footage, multiple bedrooms or dens, full kitchens, in-unit washers/dryers, walk-in closets, and covered garage parking. Common areas are generally bright and well maintained, with outdoor patios and walkways that support regular activity and socialization.

Staff and care: Staff interactions and leadership receive repeated positive mention. Reviewers highlight helpful, cheerful, and accommodating employees, with specific praise for onsite managers and social-work support who coordinate care and crisis responses. This creates a family-like atmosphere and aids residents transitioning back from rehabilitation. However, there are consistent caveats about the facility’s capacity to support higher-acuity needs: some families describe a decline in care quality when residents move into assisted-level settings, and there are concerns about the facility’s supportive-service scope for those who require more intensive care.

Dining: The culinary team is frequently praised for meal quality and friendliness; several accounts call the kitchen staff a standout feature. The facility offers flexible meal arrangements — including pay-per-meal options and continental breakfast — which can work well for independent residents who prefer choice. At the same time, reviewers note variability in what is included, with some indicating only limited included meals or a single daily meal as part of base fees. Prospective residents should confirm current meal-plan terms and how they align with expected needs.

Activities and amenities: The community provides an active calendar with exercise classes, games, crafts, outings by bus, and faith-based programming, supporting social engagement and routine. Indoor amenities referenced include a workout room, library, billiards, card and crafts rooms, and a recreation center. Maintenance and housekeeping are generally described as responsive, contributing to the perception of a well-kept environment.

Management and operations: Leadership is a strength in many accounts, particularly around crisis response and resident welcome. Nevertheless, several reviewers express concerns about administrative tone and communication, describing interactions as condescending in some cases. Cost transparency and perceived value are recurring themes; multiple comments characterize rent as expensive, and families should evaluate fees and inclusions carefully. There are also notes about uneven amenity distribution and some aging finishes (for example, older carpeting) in certain units.

Overall patterns and recommendation: The facility appears well suited to independent seniors who prioritize spacious living, good food, active programming, and attentive staff. It is less clear as a long-term option for residents who will require higher levels of clinical or assisted care without additional evaluation of the facility’s supportive services. Prospective residents and families should tour multiple unit types, verify current meal-plan inclusions and costs, and discuss specific care pathways and administrative policies with leadership before committing.

About Good Samaritan Society - Fox Run Senior Living

Good Samaritan Society - Fox Run Senior Living sits in Greeley, Colorado, where residents can look out at the Rocky Mountains and enjoy a faith-based, resort-style community for people aged 55 and older, and the building itself has three stories with several housing options-senior apartments with one or two bedrooms, some ranging from 940 to 1,000 square feet, and you can find private, semi-private, or two-bedroom rooms, plus apartments with full kitchens, washer and dryer units, walk-in closets, and balconies. The staff focuses on respecting privacy and making personalized care plans, especially for folks who need memory care for dementia or Alzheimer's, with trained caregivers and special programs and activities. Seniors here can choose from independent living for active older adults, assisted living with help for everyday needs like dressing and bathing, memory care with extra support, and nursing home services for those needing more help, and the property has safety features throughout, including handicap accessible areas, sprinkler systems, and on-site laundry. Residents have staff available to help with medications, wound care, nurses on duty, and access to podiatry and occupational therapy, and there are options for rehabilitation, long-term care, home-based services, and caregiver support. Amenities around the property make daily life more comfortable, such as a fitness center, chapel, billiards and game rooms, walking trails, a media room, a library, a beauty salon and barbershop, secure storage, heated garages, and carports, and there are also guest accommodations for visitors. People gather in the communal dining room with daily menus for breakfast and lunch, or use the private dining room for special occasions, and you'll find housekeeping, maintenance, and upkeep included. The community has social spaces for activities, an exercise room, Wi-Fi, cable TV in rooms, and transportation ready for appointments or outings, and people can join in welcome parties for new residents, arts and crafts, education programs, and health and wellness activities. There's a strong spiritual program with Bible studies, devotions, pastoral visits, and worship services. Pets are welcome, and seniors can stay independent with as much or as little support as needed, while the community keeps an eye on safety and cleanliness, with high marks for staff who are friendly and attentive. Residents benefit from long-term care insurance options, referral partner programs, and the support of the Good Samaritan Society and Foundation, and there's a special estate planning event scheduled for July 22, 2025. The community offers a steady, friendly place with easy access to services, so people can live as they wish without daily worries, in a setting that feels welcoming and peaceful.
