    Longtime resident praises clean building

I'm a long-term resident and very satisfied - the older building is beautiful and spotlessly clean, well kept inside and out. Staff are cordial and friendly, parking is convenient for residents and guests; a very nice place to live.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews present a mixed picture. Several reviewers express clear satisfaction: the building is described as attractive, clean, and well kept both inside and out, with cordial and friendly staff interactions, convenient parking, and positive experiences from long-term residents and those anticipating a move-in. These comments suggest the facility has strengths in appearance, routine housekeeping, and some aspects of day-to-day resident life.

Counterbalancing those positives are a set of serious operational concerns. Multiple accounts point to inconsistent climate control and delayed repairs (for example, prolonged air-conditioning outages and unresolved HVAC work) and to vendor-payment or financial-management problems that appear to have affected maintenance. Reviewers also describe gaps in the provision of basic amenities and raise issues about safety and the facility’s responsiveness to resident needs; together these indicate potential weaknesses in operational oversight and timely care delivery.

Staffing and care-quality impressions are mixed. Some families and residents describe friendly, cordial staff and positive long-term experiences, while others raise concerns about staff conduct and supervision. There are also repeated notes about poor family communication — unanswered phone calls and messages left without response — which compounds worries when more serious care or safety questions arise. Given the contrast between positive interpersonal reports and reports of conduct or responsiveness issues, the pattern suggests variability in staff performance or supervisory consistency.

There is limited information in the reviews about dining and activities; neither robust praise nor specific complaints about programming or meals are prominent. Prospective families should therefore verify these elements directly with management. The most salient managerial issues in the reviews relate to communication practices and financial/vendor relations: unpaid vendor work and payment disputes were specifically mentioned and appear to have affected building systems.

For families considering this facility, the evidence supports an on-site evaluation that goes beyond aesthetics. Ask management for documentation on recent maintenance work (including HVAC repairs), incident reporting and resolution processes, staffing levels and supervision practices, resident care protocols for basic amenities, and examples of family communication policies. Reviewing state inspection reports and speaking with current long-term residents or their families may help reconcile the divergent accounts and clarify whether operational weaknesses have been addressed.

    About Clare of Assisi

Clare of Assisi Place in Westminster, CO, is a senior apartment community for people ages 62 and older, offering affordable housing where the rent is set at about 30% of your monthly income, and the building itself sits near Cobblestone Park, giving you views of the mountains and the city of Denver, so you really feel like you're a part of the community with easy access to local events and activities, which is something people like since it helps them stay active and involved. This property, built in 1996, comes with 60 or sometimes listed as 100 units, mainly one- and two-bedroom apartments that are set up for independent living, and the whole place is designed for people with needs related to age or mobility, so there are elevators, non-smoking policies, accessible units, and fire alarm systems for safety, and the communal areas matter, too - every floor's got cozy sitting spaces and laundry rooms within easy reach, plus a community room with a kitchen for gatherings. The dedicated staff are there to help if anyone needs support with daily activities, and there are programs for wellness, socializing, or just having some fun, which makes daily living a bit more enjoyable, and you get heating and electric services built into the cost. Residents use free parking and on-site mail delivery, and the intercom system keeps everything secure. While there isn't a published price for rent, the average comes to about $173, but exact numbers depend on your income and if you're eligible for the program, and you can get plenty of details about units, amenities, and availability by talking with their advisors or checking their online interface, where reviews are verified to help you sort through what really matters. The community tends to be quiet, with well-kept landscaping, and it's designed to help older adults keep their independence while offering that extra layer of support and attention when life calls for it, and you find that there are always activities, staff, and services available to keep residents comfortable, engaged, and feeling at home.
