    Attentive staff, beautiful facility, recommended

I moved my mom in recently and I'm very pleased - the staff are attentive, caring, and communicative, and leadership really feels hands-on. The beautiful, modern facility has spacious apartments, luxury amenities, great meals, concierge service and a lively activity calendar (daily Happy Hour with live music), creating a warm, safe community I confidently recommend.

    About The Plaza at ParkSquare

The Plaza at ParkSquare sits in a high-rise building with ten stories, right inside the Aventura ParkSquare campus, which puts residents close to parks, physicians, pharmacies, banks, and restaurants you can walk to if you want some air or a change of scenery, and this community can hold up to 150 residents offering a choice of studio, one-bedroom, or two-bedroom apartments, all fully furnished if you need them so you don't have to bring everything along, and you get your own private bathroom and kitchenette for comfort and privacy. Residents find plenty of ways to stay busy with a computer center, a beauty salon, and an on-site spa for hair or a bit of relaxation, along with a small library and game room for reading or fun with others, and if you enjoy the outdoors you'll find gardens, walking paths, and plenty of outdoor space to gather or relax. The community has both independent living and assisted living, so people can get help with daily activities like bathing, dressing, or taking medicine when they need it, and those with Alzheimer's or other memory problems have a secure memory care program with 24-hour support, special activities, and trained staff to keep them safe and engaged in things that help reduce confusion or prevent wandering. Skilled nursing care is also available for those who need more medical attention, with round-the-clock nurses, medication help, rehabilitation, wound care, or diabetes diet support, and there's respite care if someone needs a short stay for just a little while. There's always someone close by since every apartment has a 24-hour call system and there's always staff around, plus housekeeping takes care of cleaning, meals are made fresh with an eye on nutrition, and you eat in a restaurant-style dining room with choices that change daily to keep meals interesting. Some days you might join group fitness classes in the well-equipped wellness center, or you could go along for planned day trips, attend community-sponsored events, or join activities led by other residents, and there are always scheduled daily programs including fitness groups and social hours, so there are lots of ways to connect or just stay moving. The Plaza at ParkSquare also helps with getting to appointments or outings, with options for scheduled transportation and help arranging rides, and when it's time to move in, there's move-in coordination too. Some people find comfort in the steady routine, and others like the range of choices for care and activities, but either way people tend to appreciate the clean, safe feeling and the easy access to community services. The Plaza at ParkSquare has picked up awards such as Best of Senior Living and Best Activities in Senior Living, and while nothing's perfect, the place does take care to look after the different needs of seniors.
