    Caring, cozy home with activities

I moved in recently and I'm very happy with the caring staff - they treat residents like family and made my transition easy. The home feels cozy and welcoming, is always clean and well-kept, and residents can personalize their space. There are multiple communal rooms and plenty of activities (games, coloring, painting, TV nights, shopping trips). I'd recommend this warm, active place.

    Summary of reviews

Pure Restoration Assisted Living presents as a small, home-style facility with strengths in creating a familial atmosphere and maintaining a clean, well-kept interior. Multiple communal rooms, a practical layout, and allowance for room personalization contribute to a residence-like feel. Reviewers described direct-care staff who are caring and treat residents like family, and the facility appears to offer a range of activities — arts and crafts, games, TV in communal areas, and occasional shopping outings — that support social engagement and leisure.

Care quality is mixed in these accounts. Many comments praise hands-on caregivers and support during transitions, but there are recurring operational concerns about inconsistent responsiveness and follow-through from staff. These issues are reflected in canceled rides and unmet promises, which suggest gaps in scheduling, communication, or staffing continuity rather than a uniform deficit in clinical care. Housekeeping and general cleanliness are described positively, indicating consistent attention to the facility’s physical environment.

Dining and service patterns also show variability. While the facility appears to provide routine meals, reviewers raised concerns about unequal meal or dessert distribution and inconsistent service experiences. Pricing and billing practices were described as inconsistent in some accounts, pointing to a need for clearer, more transparent communication on fees and what services are included. Additionally, temperature control in at least one room was noted as a problem, indicating uneven comfort-management across resident spaces.

Management and oversight emerge as a notable pattern. Ownership presence is described as limited, with the owner characterized as personable but not frequently on-site, and management availability and communication tone cited as inconsistent. These operational traits appear linked to the service gaps noted above — missed transportation, inconsistent scheduling, and unclear enforcement of resident policies or transitions. Prospective families should weigh the facility’s positive, home-like environment and engaging activities against these operational inconsistencies.

In summary, Pure Restoration offers a small, community-oriented setting with strengths in cleanliness, resident personalization, and recreational programming. However, patterns in communication, management availability, service consistency, transportation coordination, billing transparency, and occasional room comfort issues warrant clarification during a tour and in contract discussions. Asking specific questions about staffing schedules, transportation policies, meal-service protocols, pricing breakdowns, and management availability will help determine whether the facility’s operational practices match a prospective resident’s needs.

    About Pure Restoration Assisted Living

Pure Restoration Assisted Living sits in Crystal River, Florida, about 6 miles from Lecanto, and offers care for up to 12 residents in a place that feels very close-knit and homelike, and has both private and shared studio rooms that come fully furnished if folks want, but people can also bring their own things to help the space feel more their own, and the rooms have kitchenettes, private bathrooms, air conditioning, cable television, high-speed internet, and phone service, which really helps keep things comfortable and connected. The facility focuses a lot on helping seniors keep as much independence as they can, while always being there with 24-hour staff for daily help like bathing, dressing, medication management, and meals, and the meals are home-cooked with organic foods, following a dietician's advice, and there are always drinks and snacks available, with special diets like diabetic options, too. There are memory care services, assisted living, limited mental health support, respite care for those who only need to stay a short while, and home care and retirement home options, with personalized care plans and supervision built around what each resident prefers or needs, making sure everyone gets the right level of support.

There's a steady schedule of daily group activities and social events, and residents can take part in outings to parks, shopping, or restaurants, cook-outs, fitness and recreational activities, as well as religious services, and there are also communal lounges and dining areas that make it easier to socialize or just sit and enjoy the company. The place has a 24-hour call system for safety, and transportation is available for doctor visits, shopping trips, and local events, which is handy for those that need help getting around. On top of that, there's on-site housekeeping, laundry, beauty and nail services, podiatry and physician visits, maintenance, and mobile X-ray services, plus access to home health providers, speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy as needed.

Meals, cleaning, laundry, and most chores are handled by staff, and everything utility-wise-including phone and internet-is included, so residents don't have to worry about bills or home upkeep anymore. The environment puts a real focus on safety, dignity, and each resident's wellbeing, with special care options if someone has memory loss or needs more hands-on help. The community has clear rules about fair housing and equal opportunity, and it's been operating since September 2017 under license #8652 as a Florida Limited Liability Company, with annual reports on file and managed by David Gregory and Francia David. There's no event history listed, but there are both PDF annual reports and a second location up in Inverness, Florida. The facility's rating is listed as 1 out of 10, the highest in its city, though everyone has different ideas of what matters most when choosing a home.
