    Pleasant stay, attentive care, welcoming

I've had a pleasant stay - knowledgeable, caring staff and experienced nurses provided attentive, first-class rehab and daily care. The facility is clean, serves excellent food, and offers plenty of recreational and faith-based activities (the chapel is open 24/7); its old-world, welcoming atmosphere made it easy to make friends and feel at home. Management and the administrator are professional and caring; I'd gladly refer them, especially given their large nationwide network and flexible, low-cost options.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: The review summaries present Good Samaritan Society - Daytona - Olds Hall as a faith-oriented facility with a generally positive reputation for clinical care, social life, and administrative responsiveness. Feedback emphasizes strong rehabilitation services, experienced nursing staff, and a supportive, welcoming environment. The propertyโ€™s affiliation with a large national network is noted as a financial and organizational strength.

Care and staff: Reviews highlight caring, knowledgeable nurses and caregiving staff and describe rehabilitation services as "first-class." Multiple comments point to an administrator who is perceived as fair and attentive. There is consistent praise for ample staffing levels and staff responsiveness, contributing to a generally pleasant stay and willingness by residents or families to recommend the facility.

Dining and activities: Dining receives positive comment, with reviewers noting good food quality. The programming mix is active and church-oriented, with on-site recreational activities and a 24/7 chapel that supports continuous faith-based engagement. The social atmosphere is described as welcoming, and several summaries mention that it is easy to make friends and feel at home.

Facilities and management: The facility is characterized by an "old-world" charm and well-maintained common areas, which reviewers associate with a clean environment. Its membership in a large network (over 240 centers) provides scale and potentially broader resources. Pricing is described as relatively low for certain need levels but varies depending on the services required.

Notable patterns and considerations: The strongest patterns are high marks for rehabilitation, attentive clinical staff, and a faith-based, community-oriented culture. Prospective residents should weigh that religious emphasis and the facilityโ€™s older-building character โ€” both described positively by many reviewers โ€” against personal preferences for secular programming or modern amenity standards. Additionally, because pricing is needs-based and the center is part of a large corporate network, families are advised to clarify cost expectations and ask about site-specific policy flexibility during the decision process.
