    Moved my mother very pleased

I moved my mother here and I'm very pleased - Brandi and the rest of the staff are friendly and helpful, the facility is clean, home-like, and smells fresh. Move-in was painless, the food and activities (bingo, pool table, exercise room, outdoor smoking/non-smoking seating) are good, they take residents to doctor appointments, and our family is grateful; I would recommend this beautiful place.

    Summary of reviews

Overview: Reviews describe Rising Oaks Assisted Living as an attractive, well-kept community with a home-like atmosphere. Families and residents frequently note clean, pleasant-smelling interiors, nicely maintained grounds, and private rooms that feel residential rather than institutional. The facility offers visible recreational amenities—such as a pool table and exercise room—along with outdoor seating that accommodates smoking and non-smoking preferences, and reviewers commonly cite social programming like bingo and available snacks.

Care and clinical support: Several reviewers appreciated assistance with medical appointments and the facility’s role in connecting residents to off-site care. However, there are recurring operational concerns about clinical support scope: reviewers described limited on-site medication-management help and gaps in administrative assistance around insurance or financial navigation. These comments suggest that prospective residents who require active medication administration or help with insurance paperwork should clarify service-level details and responsibilities before placement.

Staff and management: Staff interactions are a central theme in the reviews and present a mixed picture. Many reviews praise friendly, helpful employees and identify specific staff members positively, with families reporting smooth move-ins and effective transition support. At the same time, reviewers raise concerns about staffing consistency—characterized by high turnover—and about occasional lapses in responsiveness or engagement. These staffing patterns can affect continuity of care and family confidence; prospective families should ask about current staffing stability, shift coverage, and staff training practices during their tour.

Dining, activities, and resident life: Dining receives generally favorable comments about meal quality and available snacks. Activity offerings and communal amenities are highlighted as strengths, supporting social engagement and age-appropriate peer groups. The overall tone around resident satisfaction is positive, with multiple references to happy residents and grateful families.

Costs, expectations, and recommendations: A notable pattern in the reviews concerns cost and expectation management. Several reviewers described the facility as expensive and indicated limited help with insurance matters, and a few reported that elements of the community were not exactly as depicted prior to move-in. Prospective residents and families should obtain detailed, written information about pricing, included services, medication- and clinical-support policies, and what amenities are guaranteed versus optional. Confirming these items in writing and touring the exact unit types available can help align expectations.

Bottom line: Rising Oaks appears to offer an attractive, home-like environment with active social programming and generally positive family feedback on move-in and staff interactions. The main operational risks identified in reviews relate to staffing continuity, variability in responsiveness, limited medication and insurance assistance, and cost. Prospective residents should verify staffing levels and turnover, medication administration policies, administrative/insurance support, and final pricing before deciding.

    About Rising Oaks Assisted Living

Rising Oaks Assisted Living sits at 201 Ranchera St NW in Live Oak, Florida, right off Hwy 129 N, and the place keeps its doors open 24 hours a day, every day, so staff can always help residents whenever they need. Folks here get help with daily living tasks like dressing, bathing, walking, and sometimes with small medical needs, like first aid, if something happens, and there's transportation help, plus activities and recreation right there so people can have things to do and stay busy. The staff follow personalized care plans with each resident to make sure they're comfortable and safe, and there's even special help for folks living with memory loss through programs that can include memory care, or sometimes even respite care, hospice care, and help for dementia, when needed, though that kind of care depends on the situation. Residents live in a clean space that has different amenities focused on comfort, including gathering spots and common areas, and the team there tries to offer a warm, caring community where folks are treated with respect and friendliness, which seems to be noticed, since the place has a 4.5-star rating from reviews. The property is an assisted living and retirement community, sometimes called an ALF or residential care facility, and you'll find the kind of support that usually involves help with daily routines, non-medical needs, a bit of light nursing, and plenty of ways to make life a little easier for seniors who choose to call Rising Oaks home.
