    Beautiful spotless community, compassionate staff

My father moved into Lexington Place and we're very pleased: the building is beautiful and spotless, meals are freshly prepared, and there's a full slate of activities and outings that have him socializing and thriving. The staff (special shout-outs to Ashley and Lily) are professional, compassionate, and go above and beyond - memory care, on-site therapy and medical services give us real peace of mind. Move-in was easy, residents are welcoming, and overall it's an excellent, comfortable choice with just a bit of room to grow.

    Summary of reviews

Lexington Place presents as a contemporary, well-maintained senior living community with many families praising its cleanliness, décor and hotel-like presentation. Reviewers commonly highlight compassionate caregiving staff, a responsive nursing team, and a breadth of on-site clinical services including primary care, in-house physical/occupational/speech therapy and access to specialists (podiatry, audiology, pharmacy). Apartments are described as roomy for the category, and the community offers a wide range of common spaces—library, craft room, small theater, salon and a secure courtyard—contributing to a home-like social environment.

Dining and activities are frequent strengths in the feedback. The dining program is described as varied and guest-friendly with an emphasis on freshly prepared meals and a restaurant-style atmosphere. The activities calendar includes music, live entertainment, games, crafts, outings (shopping, dining, day cruises), and therapeutic programming such as pet therapy and recreation tailored to memory-care residents. Several families singled out specific staff and activities coordinators for individualized attention and creative programming, though there are also accounts of reduced activity frequency and quality when key activity staff changed roles or left.

Care quality and staff conduct receive mixed but strongly polarized remarks. Many families report respectful, attentive caregivers who know residents by name and communicate proactively; the community’s 24/7 care model and safety checks are noted positively. At the same time, some reviews raise substantive clinical concerns: inconsistencies in dementia-specific training and approaches to aggression, questions about medication administration (timing, errors, and use of anxiolytic/antipsychotic medications), and consequent fall-risk and responsiveness issues. There are also references in some accounts to regulatory complaints and a privacy (HIPAA) concern. These items suggest families should ask directly about dementia-care training, medication governance, staffing ratios, incident reporting, and any regulatory history when evaluating the community.

Operational and amenity-level tradeoffs warrant consideration. Front-desk and administrative interactions were praised by many but criticized by others for tone and lack of answers; this points to uneven administrative responsiveness. The physical plant is generally described as new and clean, though reviewers note limited outdoor/common-area square footage (no pool), smaller bathroom storage and an apartment layout that omits cooking stoves. Cost is described as on the higher side by some families. Finally, while the community offers strong clinical and social services for many residents, the combination of occasional staffing turnover, activity-program variability, and the clinical concerns above creates a pattern of inconsistent experiences across households.

Overall, Lexington Place appears to be a well-appointed community with many operational strengths—clean facilities, active programming, on-site medical services and staff members who create a genuinely welcoming environment for many residents. Prospective residents and families who prioritize amenities and a broad activity/medical offering may find it an excellent fit. Families with complex dementia-care needs or heightened sensitivity to medication management or administrative responsiveness should schedule targeted questions and observations during a tour (ask about dementia-care protocols, medication administration safeguards, recent regulatory history, staff training, and continuity of activity staffing) to verify that the community’s practices align with their expectations and safety requirements.

    About Lexington Place

Lexington Place sits in a safe, two-story community and gives older adults many choices for independent living, assisted living, and memory care, and folks can move between care levels when their health needs change, which means you don't have to think about leaving once you're settled, and that's useful. The staff, who're kind and helpful, stay ready 24 hours a day for emergencies or any regular care, and this lets people feel looked after whether they need a bit of help with meals and meds, or more full-time support, since some need more hands-on care than what assisted living usually offers, and others want to stay active in the independent apartments. These apartments come as studios, one-bedroom, or two-bedroom setups, and have kitchenettes and walk-in closets, all rooms are designed to give comfort, and the whole building is handicap accessible with good Wi-Fi through the grounds, which is handy if you like to stay connected.

Residents living with Alzheimer's or other types of dementia get care from a team with special training, using the Montessori Method, so routines and spaces help cut down confusion, and there's a secured memory care neighborhood for extra safety. Everyone gets a personal assessment before moving in, which helps staff make care plans based on each resident's needs and likes-they help with bathing, dressing, medications, and daily tasks but also care about letting residents choose what they eat or do. Housekeeping is there, and maintenance keeps things running, plus you get services ranging from home care and therapies to nursing for more serious needs, so that makes the place pretty flexible.

The place has a cozy café, a tavern, and a salon for haircuts or beauty, plus a modern fitness center, and it offers activities, art, crafts, and games to keep people social, and pets can live here too. Every meal focuses on nutrition and quality, with all-day dining where residents help with the menu, and there's always something to do with the life enrichment program and social events-folks can go traveling or on tours, and Lexington Place partners with health pros nearby if you need more support for your mind or body, including mental health. Awards like "Best of Senior Living" show some people really appreciate what goes on here, but what most stands out is the warm and easy going feeling; this isn't a place that pushes anyone, instead with a person-centered approach, staff aim to help each resident stay as independent as they can, and folks who live here get to keep their routine and live life as they want, whether they're healthy and active or need a bit more daily help.
