    Caring staff, comfortable rooms, thriving

I'm very satisfied with this family-owned, gated senior living community. Staff are caring and attentive, the food is great, rooms are comfortable, and my loved one has improved physically and mentally; Ambetter Sunshine covered care, there's high-speed WiFi, free laundry with linens twice weekly, a convenient downtown/SODO location, and all levels of care are available (pricing varies by room and level).

    About San Jean Facility Care

San Jean Facility Care sits in Orlando, FL, and serves adults 55 and older who need different levels of care like assisted living, memory care, nursing home, independent living, and adult day care. The community has support for 54 residents and is owned by a family who cares for seniors in a homelike environment. San Jean offers several types of rooms including studio, semi-private, and two-bedroom apartments. Every apartment provides private bathrooms, cable TV, kitchenettes, Wi-Fi, telephones, air conditioning, and comes furnished. Meals are prepared onsite with restaurant-style dining, all-day dining, and options for kosher, vegetarian, diabetic, and allergy-sensitive diets. Residents can eat together in a spacious dining room and enjoy food from a professional chef. There's also a lounge, a library, a game room, and a wellness center. San Jean Facility Care provides daily recreational, social, and cultural activities to encourage movement and friendship, and they hold special events and birthday group celebrations.

Staff at San Jean help with bathing, dressing, transfers, walking, toileting, and medication management, always working from a tailored care plan. Nurses are present, with doctors and visiting healthcare professionals like podiatrists, dentists, therapists, and speech therapists available. In-house skilled nursing is available with up to 12-16 hours of nursing care each day, and there's a 24-hour call system with awake staff at all times. San Jean can assist residents who need a two-person transfer or diabetic care such as blood sugar tests and insulin injections. The staff remind incontinent residents to use the restroom. The community has memory care for dementia, as well as respite options for short stays. Housekeeping and laundry are provided, along with move-in coordination and a beautician service onsite. Residents can attend religious services within the building and join in community activities or relax in the outdoor garden or common areas.

Amenities like a fitness center, spa/sauna, business room, movie theater, walking paths, and outdoor smoking areas offer more choices each day. There are transportation services for errands and appointments-people can choose free rides or pay for extra trips-and parking for residents. The building and grounds feature safety measures for accessibility and comfort, including wheelchair accessible showers, emergency alert systems, and 24-hour supervision. San Jean Facility Care is licensed in Florida (License #11563) and follows Fair Housing & Equal Opportunity rules. The community allows payment by private pay, social security, veteran's benefits, and private insurance, charging fees by community, buy-in, respite, and level of need. The facility often prefers residents needing light or medium care but is equipped for many different needs. San Jean runs regular activities like games, music, movies, and resident-run programs, to help keep minds and bodies active. The website is still in development, but the facility focuses on comfort, independence, and comprehensive support for older adults at many stages of life.
