    Comfortable clean caring small home

I've had a very positive experience at this small, home-like six-resident place. It's relaxed, secure and clean - I have my own comfortable room, nice living room, patio and two dining areas, with home-cooked meals (large portions and dessert). Staff and owner are pleasant and responsive, help with bathing, meds and doctor appointments, a nurse visits weekly, and there are games, puzzles and big-screen TVs - overall a well-kept, comfortable option.

    Summary of reviews

Overall sentiment from the reviews is strongly positive: residents and families report a clean, comfortable, home-like environment with attentive staff and good food. Multiple reviewers emphasize the small, six-resident limit as a defining feature — this scale is described as creating a relaxed, secure atmosphere where staff can provide personalized attention. The home is repeatedly noted as being well-kept and clean, with pleasant common spaces such as a nice living room, two dining areas, a patio, and large-screen TVs.

Care quality and staff performance are frequently highlighted. Reviews state staff help with bathing and medication administration, and that a nurse visits weekly for clinical oversight. Staff assist residents in getting ready for doctor appointments and are proactive about communicating with family members, calling when there are problems. The owner is described as accessible and responsive to questions. These points combine to create a pattern of reliable daily care and good family communication, and reviewers characterize their overall experience as good so far.

Dining and activities receive consistent praise. Meals are described as home-cooked with large portions and desserts provided, and reviewers note that the facility cooks and supplies food rather than relying on external meal services. The dining areas are considered clean and adequate. Activity options mentioned include board games, puzzles, word books, and television — adequate for a small home setting and contributing to a home-like environment, though activity offerings appear modest and focused on low-key, social or quiet pastimes.

Facility features and accommodations lean toward the basic and homelike rather than upscale. Several reviews call the home "not fancy" but "beautiful" in a simple way. Room options include both private and semi-private rooms; rooms are described as adequate and clean. The small size is an asset for families seeking a personal, residential feel, but it also means fewer on-site amenities. Reviewers specifically note the absence of a library and a beauty salon, which points to limited specialty services often found in larger communities.

Notable concerns are limited but should be considered. The most specific safety issue mentioned is a headboard that was not attached to a bed, resulting in bed movement — a localized safety/maintenance problem that should be addressed promptly. Privacy may be a concern for some residents due to the availability of semi-private rooms. Additionally, while weekly nurse visits and attentive caregiving are positives, prospective families should be aware that medical oversight appears to be periodic rather than continuous, which is consistent with a small residential setting but may not meet needs for higher-acuity care.

In summary, the reviews paint a picture of a small, comfortable, and well-maintained residential care home that emphasizes personalized attention, good home-cooked meals, and responsive staff and management. It is well-suited to individuals who prefer a quieter, homelike environment over a larger, more feature-rich facility. Families should weigh the benefits of individualized care and close communication against the limited on-site amenities and the need to confirm that any specific safety or privacy concerns (for example, bed maintenance and room type) are resolved to their satisfaction.
