    Warm caring staff excellent meals

I moved my mother to The Promenade and we're very pleased. The staff are warm, attentive and genuinely caring; the new, light-filled building and spacious apartments feel like home, and Chef Mike's meals are outstanding. Active daily activities, transportation, salon and pet-friendly policies make it a welcoming, family-like community.

    Summary of reviews

The Promenade presents as a newly built, well-appointed assisted living community with many strengths and a recurring set of operational concerns. Its strongest and most consistent positive signal is the dining program: residents and families describe an accomplished chef, a large, varied menu with daily specials, and restaurant-style dining that accommodates prescribed diets. The facility offers multiple common spaces, a sunny courtyard layout, on-site therapy and fitness resources, transportation services, and a full complement of amenities (salon, theater, private dining room), which together create a socially active environment that many residents describe as welcoming and home-like.

Staff interactions are frequently described in warm terms: tour and move-in staff, dining personnel, and many direct-care employees are characterized as friendly, helpful, and attentive. Reviewers repeatedly praise responsiveness from certain staff members and highlight robust programming — bingo, live music, craft classes, happy hour, and other daily activities — that supports social engagement and a sense of community. The Promenade is also noted as pet-friendly, which is a meaningful feature for residents who keep animals.

Despite those strengths, a consistent pattern of operational and clinical concerns appears across reviews. Several reviewers raised issues with nursing and medication-administration consistency, along with variability in personal-care delivery such as bathing schedules. Staffing shortages and turnover are cited as contributing factors; when staff levels are constrained, families describe delays in meal service, intermittent housekeeping coverage, and reduced activity frequency. There are also specific mentions of gaps in the memory-care neighborhood related to staffing ratios and placement practices, suggesting the community’s dementia-care capacity may not be uniformly established.

Facility-level operational weaknesses include variable housekeeping reliability and occasional maintenance failures. A number of accounts describe slow resolution of maintenance or equipment problems and uneven follow-through on contractual and billing matters, including difficulty obtaining refunds or clear answers on financial questions. Management turnover and uneven communication transparency are another recurring theme: while some families praise specific administrators and marketing staff for helpfulness and clear tours, others describe inconsistent leadership visibility and follow-up. A few comments also reflect concerns about building access control and perceived security in outdoor/common areas.

For prospective residents and families the overall picture is mixed: the Promenade offers strong physical amenities, an excellent dining program, active social programming, and many staff who are caring and effective. At the same time, prospective move-ins should assess operational readiness in areas that affect day-to-day care: ask about current clinical staffing ratios (particularly for memory care), medication administration protocols, housekeeping frequency, maintenance-response times, and specifics of billing/contract dispute resolution. A thorough, on-site discussion with leadership about these operational metrics and a review of current staffing plans will help determine whether the community’s strengths align with the level of clinical and operational consistency a prospective resident requires.

The Promenade sits along the river, close to the coastline, and has scenic views, landscaped courtyards, and a welcoming entrance that makes residents and guests feel at home right away, and you'll notice they've got all sorts of living choices like independent living, assisted living, memory care, respite stays, and even nursing services if that becomes needed, so folks can stay in one place even if their needs change, and the apartments come in one-bedroom and two-bedroom styles that have plenty of space and different layouts, some with nice touches and cheerful, bright décor. The community offers on-site skilled care for those who need greater help, and they provide person-centered care to match what each resident needs, no matter their level of ability, including a caring staff to help with daily activities and a range of professional services. Residents get help with daily routines in assisted living, plus there are secure and comfortable spaces for those living with Alzheimer's or other memory issues, including special memory care suites, a memory care salon, and a memory care courtyard with lots of greenery and shaded spots under palm trees, and rooms there are cozy with decorative bedding and lamps for comfort.

There's a 5 Star Chef on premise so restaurant-style dining happens in a bright dining room with soft lighting and artwork, and the culinary experience gets special attention. The Promenade also has a bistro for light meals and a tavern for social time, and you'll find a theater with plush seating and a popcorn machine for movie nights, a fitness center with exercise equipment for all abilities, salons for hair care-including one for memory care residents-and home health and care services to keep everyone healthy and comfortable. The Promenade provides regular transportation services including shuttles, which make doctor's visits and shopping trips easier, and is pet-friendly, so residents can keep their furry companions. Community spaces have natural light, comfortable seating, books, and quiet corners for socializing or relaxing, while courtyards and outdoor patios invite residents to enjoy nature safely. They run programs and activities every day, including educational events, socials, and Happy Hour, making it easy for people to stay involved and active.

The Promenade caters to people who need just a little help or those who need more intensive care, and their focus stays on healthy living and aging, supported by a friendly and attentive staff who work hard to meet changing needs and support happiness. The building's light and bright design includes patios and outdoor spaces for everyone to enjoy, and special touches like pet grooming services, wellness programs, and a guarantee that refunds the community fee in the first 30 days if someone isn't satisfied, all help make life here as easy and comfortable as possible. The Promenade is part of Concordis Senior Living and combines many living and care options on one campus, so people don't have to move again if their situation changes.
