    Bright rooms great staff satisfied

I'm very pleased with Brickmont - brand-new, bright rooms with great layouts and a lovely outside area. The staff are friendly and attentive (the memory care director and nursing team stood out), activities are engaging, meals are good, and the all-inclusive pricing and smooth move-in made the transition easy. My dad is happy here and I would recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Brickmont at Acworth presents a mixed but coherent pattern across reviews. The facility's strongest and most consistent praise centers on its memory-care program and direct care staff: many families describe caregivers as compassionate, patient, and knowledgeable about dementia care. Several reviewers highlighted strong, engaged leadership in wellness and memory-care roles, an ability to create personalized care plans, and frequent communication and updates when the team is proactive. The building itself is frequently described as new, bright, and well maintained, with attractive common areas, a courtyard, accessible apartment layouts and useful safety features such as call buttons and secured memory-care spaces.

Dining and activities are areas of divided experience. A number of reviewers praised the on-site chef, pleasant dining room, social meals, and a robust calendar of activities, including music, art, outings and exercise classes. At the same time, multiple families reported inconsistent meal quality, delivery issues (cold or poorly served meals), and occasional use of disposable service that affected the dining experience. Activity programming is generally energetic and engaging for ambulatory residents, but reviewers also described gaps for residents with limited mobility or higher-acuity needs and noted turnover in activity leadership that disrupted continuity.

Operational and administrative weaknesses recur in the feedback. Housekeeping and laundry services were described as inconsistent, with several reviewers citing missed cleanings and delayed returns of clothing or linens; this has translated into sanitation and odor concerns in localized areas for some families. Staffing reliability is another consistent theme: high turnover, limited night staffing, and staffing levels perceived as insufficient for residents who need more hands-on assistance were commonly noted. These staffing issues intersect with clinical coordination complaints—families raised concerns about delayed medication administration, variable nurse communication, and occasional missed follow-up on maintenance or care requests.

Communication and billing processes appear uneven. While positive experiences include responsive front-desk staff and helpful admission staff, many families reported difficulties reaching administrative or billing personnel, erratic invoices, and a lack of timely callbacks. Several reviewers also described service promises made at move-in that were not consistently fulfilled, and some cited unexpected rate increases or pricing instability that affected perceived value. There are also comments about restrictive policies at times around visitation or dining access.

In deciding whether Brickmont at Acworth is a good fit, prospective families should weigh the facility's clear strengths in memory-care expertise, a warm social environment, and a modern, attractive campus against operational inconsistencies in housekeeping, meal delivery, staffing stability, and administrative communication. For residents whose primary need is specialized dementia support in a secure, home-like setting, the facility’s memory-care team and environment may offer strong benefits. For those requiring dependable, hands-on nursing support, consistent meal service, or frequent family communication, it would be prudent to ask specific, documented commitments about staffing ratios, housekeeping and laundry schedules, medication-administration protocols, and billing practices before move-in, and to verify how the community addresses service lapses and leadership turnover.

    About Brickmont at Acworth

Brickmont at Acworth, located at 3114 Cobb Parkway NW in Kennesaw, GA, has offered a full range of senior care and living options since welcoming its first residents in 2019, and though the community is called Brickmont at Acworth, its address falls in Kennesaw. The community's managed by a business manager with staff for customer service, and while it's not BBB accredited, the community operates as an LLC and began business in 2014. You'll find Brickmont at Acworth on Facebook and LinkedIn, and information about its services is also on the Georgia Senior Living Association platform, since the community's a GSLA member and has been listed since 2019. The facility runs 24 hours a day, with friendly staff available to help when residents need it and a contact person by the name of Susan Tenai.

The community serves people looking for independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, respite care, and adult day care, making it a place where seniors with different needs can live on one campus and change care as needed without leaving their neighborhood. Options include active adult living for people looking for a social, vibrant life, as well as higher levels of support for those who want help with bathing, dressing, personal care, medication, or mobility. Memory care and dementia support are available and specialized for adults living with Alzheimer's disease or similar conditions, with facilities and programs set up to help those facing cognitive and physical challenges. On-site skilled nursing care serves residents who need more help than assisted living provides, while independent living options let adults stay social and active with less daily assistance.

Brickmont at Acworth offers amenities standard in many assisted living places, and while specific features were not detailed, the community mentions boutique apartment homes with different floor plans and home designs, and shares a photo gallery, virtual tours, and news about community events and activities for residents. The staff curates experiences and organizes events such as ribbon-cutting celebrations, aiming to foster southern hospitality and meaningful connections in a lively setting. Programs focus on holistic health and include organized happenings designed for the well-being of residents. The community accepts all major credit and debit cards for payment, and there's a management team along with dedicated customer contact staff to handle questions and care needs. Brickmont at Acworth reminds families to look at services, staff, and organized programs when choosing an assisted living community, and continues to offer updates and resources through its online presence and the GSLA.

If you're considering moving to a senior living community and want a spectrum of care levels as needs change, Brickmont at Acworth presents itself as a place where residents can transition between living styles and receive tailored support as needed, all while remaining in one community.
